Hmmmmm, No but what I find doesn't compute is someone coming on here, only having 3 posts under their "belt" with them all about suspicions about Dr. Joffe. THAT I find odd. As for me....I'm not going to speculate. This isn't a gossip column and I'm not going to stir up any suspicions or plant incorrect truths in people's minds. If you want to believe in conspiracy theories...go to it. As far as I'm concerned, REGARDLESS of what happens (& really I don't give a crap...it's not MY business) the clinic is not affected, nor is it's integrity. So what's your beef?

Thanks Angel Bear.... Congrats on the great NSVs! :clap2:
-
AWESOME NSV Angel Bear!
-
He hasn't released his "official" statement yet. My guess is he wanted to move on to do something else (he was the first surgeon doing lapbands - along with Dr Yau - in Canada..... and so he has been doing this for a very long time.) Or ...maybe he is retiring.
-
I second that sentiment!
-
Hmmmmmm *looks quizzically at MacDaddy*.....*wondering if he could have been my HS prom date*....naaaaaaaaaah, I am two years older....soooo doubtful. But.... hmmmmmm, that waking up 1/2 naked with strangers around is sounding way to eerily familiar for my liking! :nervous :guess :kiss
-
I know someone who had it paid for by OHIP.....the doc recommended her and OHIP approved it because she had a bad skin rash underneath where all the skin hung.....in fact, I know she didn't treat it on purpose so it would look worse etc when she was examined. Short answer: if you need it done for a medical reason (vice cosmetic), it will be covered.

Oh Wheezy...you are soooooooooooo lucky you said "computer screen" in brackets!! Otherwise you just KNOW Cloe would have taken the whole conversation back to the sub size again!!!! LOL  22 Inches indeed!!! (owieeee!)
-
Yes, I had been aware of that. I don't know the details yet (but he was an "older" gentleman so maybe he is retiring?). No probs...Dr. Yau is still there and he was one of the first docs (along with Dr. J) who did lapband surgery in Canada. Actually, I prefer Dr. Y......a bit of a nice bedside manner! No worries here.
-
DameJ: don't forget though that your port won't necessarly be right under your scar; nor will it be at the same place all the time. It "moves" depending on your position....it can "be" well below your scar, at your scar or above your scar depending on if you are standing, sitting, hunched, lying down etc.....
-
hmmmmmm DameJ...I don't think I've really ever heard of anyone who could NOT feel their port! Are you sure you aren't feeling it and just don't know it? They are going to have to "feel" it to find where to put the needle. Don't let that worry you or anything....I"m sure they will be able to feel it...you probably just don't recognize the fact that you are, indeed, feeling it....(I hope!). :phanvan

Kewl...those "filtered" photos look like the ol' Andy Warhol's signature!! Nice photos Mandi...u r beeeeeautiful!!!
-
"only for a week" Green????? Hey, I'd take a week!!!! have fun!
-
Doddie.....no worries about the lettuce stretching the pouch thing....I wasn't gonna go there but since someone else brought it up.....that is about the MOST ridiculous thing on here that I've ever read!!! Make like a rabbit and if lettuce doesn't bother you....eat away! *stretches the pouch* *rolls eyes* :phanvan
-
The time off depends completely on the type of "work" you do. Just a sidenote: not all doctors agree on the pop thing (ie. carbonation).
-
Actually Wheezy...no they aren't!!!! But the in-laws are going with Mr Yoda's brother, wife and 7 year old....so it is a family thing (minus us!!) LOL. (you couldn't pay me enough money to vacation with my in-laws!!!!).
-
Nice to hear from you Lila! Glad you are doing well (weight loss wise and overall health wise down in Mecccciko). :) :tea: Tks for keeping us info'd!
-
Wow...it really does sounds awesome Wheezy....and North Conway to boot!!! (Lands End outlet is there, isn't it?) WHoo hoooo! Have a great relaxing trip! Ironically, my in-laws are headed to a condo at Myrtle Beach near the end of Apr; they are staying for 2 weeks. Seriously, when do you leave? Have an awesome time.....you DESERVE it!!!!
-
Yes!!! Happy St Pat's day to my fellow Irish Brethren and wannabes!!!!

BTW Andrew, Mr Yoda got a chuckle out of your "$16,000 man" under your moniker!!
-
Ahem.....I would have to say no...I am not more "gassy"...ummm but if you ask Mr Yoda, he may beg to differ!!!! (we have differing opinions on this!!). Of course, I'm always right!!!! My excuse is to blame it on the gas from the surgery but since that happened almost a year ago, I believe that line is wearing a lil' thin and he is becoming wise! :paranoid
-
Ya...you're a boob alright Andrew....oh....I mean "noob"...hehe. Yeah, I'm stalkin' ya alright but don't worry, you'll see me comin' from a mile away what with my light sabre and all!! :success1:
-
Bandiva: Green is absolutely right....you are EXACTLY on track, my friend. That is how my loss has been....don't forget....AVERAGE of 1-2 lbs per week.....as impatient as I know you likely are, it IS better this way! BTW, be careful of the "reading through posts as I eat breakfast" thing.....that is what I did and is how I spewed chocolate protein drink all over my keyboard one morning!!!! (unexpected slime/pb thingy!)....aaaah, the memory.....!!! :paranoid Reallly though...if you manage to lose four lbs every 3 weeks you are doing AWESOME!!!! So don't knock it.
