    weight loss & plateaus

Oh what everyone says is true. I was banded in Oct 08 and have plateaued 2 times. Major plateaues. Like a month at a time. As soon as I started journaling and exercising more, I started loosing. They are key!!
  4. I just read the info from BamBam and I also was not eating enough. My doctor just told me that I needed to up my calories to 1000. That will cause the body to start burning. However, the exercise is also very important! Sunshine926
  5. hey hunny im on EVERYDAY ! lol i dont know what time is that case right now its 6:11pm down here idk about you down there but im on EVERYDAY hunny ! i actually on right now i always on at that time also what time are you in Central, Eastern ?

  6. Hey E- where have you been? I haven't seen you in the chat room for months. I am usually on around 7 to 8 California time. I miss you. - Come Chat.

  7. It is interesting to see the variety of answers there are to this question. It seems the majority of people eat between 800 and 1500 calories. My doctor told me to stay between 600 and 800. I try. I've lost 45 lbs in 3 months. There are days I eat more than 800 calories and I'm fine with it. The exercise is important. I haven't figured out how to update my ticker. It's not right.
  8. Hey don't be too impressed. I lost that weight on the liquids and I have been on hold ever since. I am trying to find people that have gone through a similar situation but everyone keeps telling me not to worry about weight loss until your body heals. About 6 weeks. Ugh

  9. Hi April -

Snow- oh no. I live in the desert. It is sandy and dusty!! Yuck. It gets to be 100 to 115 average during the summer. Hot!!!! We do not get much rain. We do get a couple inches of snow every couple of years. It lands and melts. I bet you live in a beautiful green area. We watch tumble weeds roll by for fun. Hahahahahahaha

I am a first grade teacher. I love children!!!! I have been teaching first grade for 12 years. I wouldn't trade first grade for anything. Thankfully nobody really wants kindergarten or first grade. They would rather teach 2nd through 5th. It is great having someone to go through the experience with. However, my friend is loosing a little faster than I am and we are eating the same stuff. I don't know. I keep telling myself not to worry it will all come off eventually.

I will chat with you later..

    Accepting the rules.

Thanks for sharing. I am only 3 weeks post-op and all this information is good for us to hear. It helps to prepare us and help us keep our minds on why we got banded to begin with. Thank you!!!

    protein help

Hi Clv I had my surgery 10/3/08 - I also drink Isopure - they have 40 grams of protein and they come in different flavors, punch, rasberry, applemelon, pineapple, etc. There are also NEW WHEY bullets. They are 3 oz, 42 grams of protein. They are also different fruit flavored. You can get them at health food stores, GNC, etc. Hope this helps.
