Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Mandy...what a friend!!?..i think she sounds a bit bitter or jealous?.they have no understanding of how the band works, and just say what they think,or have heard about the band..she knew you looked good, and is prob worried about you looking even better! thats her problem, not yours!.its awfull when you are just feeling comfortable about yourself and then someone pulls you down isnt it. you are not cheating, it is still hard work...aarrgghhh!. i dont know what you said, but think she owes you an apology anyway, and think if she is true friend she needs to know exactly what this band does for you, and if she is a true friend she will want to know and support you totally x:thumbup: -

shoes, you have done fantastic up to now!.i had the same as you and am at 6ml..i remember having restriction on my third fill and it lasted about 2 weeks, i lost well and my appetite was subdued, but it went and i have had 2 fills since..i do have restriction, and suppose i could do better but i do tend to go for the easy foods most of the time which go down easy, instead of proper solids so we feel fuller. its a shame that the "naughty" foods go down very easily isnt it!!. still, i am losing, slower than i could, but i suppose as long as i dont put any back on, it can go slowly!. if i had lost this on a normal diet i would have put it all back on with another stone to boot by now!..so im ok with how its going and cant expect any different. bigsister seemed to be stalling with not much restriction, so wendy did a "fluid challenge" on her, and she now seems to have restriction at 8ml, fingers crossed!.she was feeling like you and flirty too before that.. i had that awfull port pain it took about 2 months or so to go, i couldnt bend even..hope yours goes soon like mine did x -

:cursing: thankyou to you all! im pleased too with how the weight loss is going, its coming off slowly, but im more than happy with that as i have a lot to lose, so im looking at this time next year for my target. ive lost 30lb since op now.and lost 2lb before pre op. i really hope me telling the fill team is going to get you somewhere with the 6 month packages, hope they pass the feedback on. i couldnt have afforded the 12 months package either, esp after just paying...and still paying for the op. it went on my credit card im afraid. anyway i had .5ml fill taking me to 6, and big sister had quite a big fill taking her to 8ml!!. she wasnt feeling much restriction.. so wendy did what she calls a"fluid challenge". she syringes all the saline back out..counts it, then fills it back up to almost max. you do have to wait around a bit cos she needs to know if you can drink a few cold drinks, and hot drinks too, she then decides whether to take some out from the results. anyway bigsister was gurgling away like a bath plughole and hiccupping at the side of me while drinking!..so lets hope she gets some restriction now..i am absolutely sure she will have now! think i have a little bit more restriction but cant tell until come off liquids properly. i know its definatly tighter in the morning though, esp the morning after a fill. that gurgling is a sign of restriction though, so is hiccups. hope i have answered everyones questions...gillian x -

 hi just come back from fill..pleased cos down another 5lb this month!.I just had .5ml put in i think..it took me to 6ml anyway. i did ask steve, wendys partner who does it with her about why WLS has stopped doing the 6 month package to new bandsters..He looked confused and said, no he didnt know and wasnt aware that they had stopped it!..as far as he was concerned you still could have this package. i explained that some of you on here had been told this and were not happy about it as its a lot of money to fork out esp after paying for the op..he gave me his card and said if anyone wanted to give him a call, he would try to sort it if possible..so its a bit bad if the fill nurses dont even know about this, the management hasnt told them?!.. :ohmy:OMG!!. i have just looked for the card and cant find it, i must have dropped it on bus..i will get wendys number from bigsister, he said people could either ring him or wendy..sorry, ill be back on with the number soon x -

i sara, i will ask them this when i go for my fill with them on tuesday. i will let it be known people are upset about this. altho wendy is the fill nurse, she may be able to give some feedback on our comments to the management at WLS. dunno if it will make any difference, but i can try for nothing. dont let this put anyone off WLS though as its still good value when you add up all the fills and the advice, newsletters, 24hour help and the expertise they offer with their team. -

hi homecare..i will ask wendy when i go on tuesday..wendy is lovely, understanding, proffessional and very experienced..she is more interested in the person than the money, and i reckon she wont completely agree what WLS management have done re the 'no more 6 months packages' I will say people are upset at this and maybe she can give WLS management some feedback?..i would still book the 12 months package though as its certainly worth it, when you add up how much the fills are anyway, but i know thats not the point here. dont forget that WLS do a 'pay-as-you-go' for fills, think its £85 each, your appointment is for half hour and you get lots of info with her amazing analyzing, all knowing,no cheating scales!(wish i had some!) and her advice is excellent. your first appointment is £120 i think though for your assesment and first fill included. x -

hi shoes, i had that pain really bad, whenever i got up off the settee , bent over or twisted, i had it for about a month, then it went for about a week then came back for about another month.it then stopped..it is just the muscles underneath when you tense up, also when sneezing, coughing and laughing, i had to hold it in first!..as you lose some weight it will go, my fill nurse described it being sewn in like a button and when you are loosing weight it loosens off, and ends up like a loose button. its fine now, but i do get the odd twing, think it just digs into the muscle when bending or something..but it did drive me mad and thought i was gonna have to get it looked at...it will go though, at least you know that..and i was shown how they are sewn in and that its near impossible for them to flip.so dont worry x -

fatduck...dont be scared of the not being able to eat massive amounts!..it wont bother you cos you wont physicly be able to..you will stop cos it will be painfull if you go too far and youll be full. you will get used to the warning signs after a while so you dont get to that painfull stage. and like i said before..its the getting our heads round to that fact which takes longer. the op is just the easy bit to start off with youll find! x -

sounds ok to me..i wasnt very good with the pre op diet at all!..but yes instead of counting the calories try to cut out as much fat as possible and fill up on cereals and veg..youll be fine. i felt some restriction straight after op and have never been able to eat bread or potatoes since..its not the same with everyone cos my sister (bigsis) had no probs with these foods. i always loved my chips, mash and nice breads, but i have got used to not having em now and dont really miss them, as i associate them with a painfull feeling now. this band takes more getting used to in your head though!..i have just done a BBQ and piled my plate up, just cos i wanted to see it and have it....although i couldnt eat it!..just ended up with cheese, cucumber, veg and dips!..i was satisfied with that though, its just my head was telling me to eat what i couldnt!..its not physicly possible when you have some restriction..will power would never work for me..alas the band.. think ill call my band...HERO!? x -

hi TIN..i suppose from a sightseers point of view, its not that good as its not in brussells, there is hardly anything around it and no facilities for younger children..its very clean and comfortable though, and all that you need for the reason your going. but i think id be dissappointed if i was staying there for anything other than surgery..its at the back of a railway station where you can get into brussels cheaply if you feel like it. hope that helps x -
