  4. I was banded on 11/18 and that first week I lost 10 lbs immediately but this week I'm not really loosing. Has that happened for others? Is my body already use to less calories and storing things? I'm hoping that next week when I begin exercising again it will kind of kick start it - thoughts anyone?
  5. Hi everyone. I was banded one week ago today. I went back to work today and things went well. I am eating about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of blended food three times a day with fluids in between. I too am having a hard time getting in all my protein. I bought three large things of Unjury before surgery and loved it - can't stand it now. Like someone else said, the smell is killing me. I think it is the Soy. I am finding that the site were the port is feels really funny. For those of you with children, do you remember when you had your baby in your belly and they would kick you and push their foot against your belly? That is what it feels like. I called the doctor's office today and they said that this is normal because it is attached to the muscle, therefore pushes and moves around for now since there is so much fluid around that area. It should get better. It isn't really pain but a funky feeling. I take that back, there is pain in that area when I sneeze and/or cough. The other thing I struggled with was constipation. It took an entire week before I went. This was after taking stook softners for 4 days! I'm good in that department now, thank goodness!
  6. My surgeon gave me samples of the Unjury. It is really good, smooth and not thick. I tried the chocolate and the chicken soup. I made a negative comment about the chicken soup when they gave it to me but it was like drinking chicken broth and satisfied my desire for "lunch". You can order it from UNJURY Medical Quality Protein Supplement: High Protein Supplement Uses Whey Protein Isolate. Great tasting whey protein supplements! - it has 40 carbs and 0 fat. The problem I have with the other drinks such as Slim Fast is the Sucralose which doesn't agree with me.
  7. I'm a new member and just jointed today. My date is November 18th. I have only told my immediate family. I'm a very private person and can't stand answering all the questions. I'm pretty nervous. I'm most nervous about how I'm going to continue wanting to be the one who does most of the cooking when I'm not going to be able to enjoy it! I'm sure I will get over it. My doctor in Maine tells me that something, not sure exactly what, changes after surgery and you just "don't want it (all the food)". Boy I hope she is right. I was happy to hear someone say that they are eating everything right now, kind of like the last binge. I am finding myself doing that a little right now too. Time to stop though, huh!
