I had surgery Nov, 2008 and slowly lost some weight but have been stuck since last May. I think I have finally gotten the hang of it, where I eat a few bites, but do not get sick and do not go and cheat with fluid food. I am finally getting unstuck at my weight. Has anyone else had this experience? 1 whole year before it kicks in for you? It is like I was struggling against it so I could eat more through fluids. Hope that makes sense. I have 60 lbs more to lose. I have lost 65, but really only 40 since the surgery. Thanks for any stories of success after one year.
Here is my fear, that durnig this year of not greatness that I have done damage. My stomach gurgles and still vomit if eat too much but trying very hard. I think I am probably too tight and just trying to get on with it. Should I get an unfill? Freaking out
I am having the exact same thing. I got a fill on Friday of 1cc. I am not sure how a PB is different, but basically, I throw up yogurt, tea, protein shake. Egg drop soup, coffee, Popsicle all are ok. I needed a jump start, so I do not mind too much. Just want to make sure I am ok.
I am very frustrated. Presurgery, I lost weight and after surgery, I lost weight. When I started back on normal food, no more weight loss. Now, I feel no restriction (except a rare moment) and no weight loss. I had my first fill six weeks in (surgery was Nov. 3). I go back next week. I have 4.5 cc's in a 10 cc band.
Is it normal to have nothing happen until you find the right fill?
Not doubting the posts, but is this really true. I have found that I am struggling against the band, probably because I am hungry, third fill on Friday. I may have gained a few pounds since the 2nd fill. Feedback that this is normal and I will lose my 100lbs would be great to hear...if true...
Thanks!
