It's been almost 8 months since I got my Lapband....and I have only lost 40-something pounds. I know that I am not drinking as much water or eating as much protein as I was when I 1st got the Lapband.....and I can mention a million reasons as to why, but there really is no excuse because I have the tool to lose the weight and I am not taking advantage of it. I am having a very very hard time getting back on track and kickstarting my diet plan again. I have been to several support groups but they are a joke/not helpful at all. I just feel like such a failure being stuck and not being able to lose anymore weight.

I Don't like Protein Drinks!!!.I can't stand the smell or taste anymore:frown:....... By day 9 post-op I was gagging on them, ......I couldnt get another drink down.... I am making sure I get alot of Protein in from food and hopefully that will be enough. But can someone recommend some drinks/brands that dont smell or have an aftertaste, also please give me some ideas as far as hiding the taste.

Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor Anyone in the Denver area
NIKNIK69 posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hello..... A little about me.....I am a 38 year old female with 3 kids. I love bowling, gardening and playing online games on yahoo and pogo. I got my Lapband on 10/10/08.....with Dr. Michael Snyder @ Rose Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. My surgery went great, my pain was very minimal, and my incisions are healing just fine. The problem is everything is going so well, I am not sure if I am doing things correctly because it seems effortlessly so far. I called the doctors office because I was concerned that I dont get full, I dont get hungry, and I can still drink alot of water and I am following my pre-op diet, then I felt soooo stupid when the nurse said well you dont have any restriction yet so you really wont feel anything yet.....Boy DID I FEEL STUPID!!!......like if I just had someone to talk to about what I going through it would make it so much better. I am very new to this forum and so far it seems to be very helpful and most likely I think I will be on here often. But I just feel like I need someone one on one who can relate to me. -
How do you know if you are eating too much or not enough if you dont have any restriction before your 1st fill ????

Banded 10/10/08 by Dr. Michael Snyder. I am glad to have found an online support system.
