Hi, Michelle! I'm doing good! How is it going for you?? My last appointment was with Dr. Weiger, and I didn't get a fill. He thought I was making progress. I think at my next one though I will ask for a fill. I hope it's going well for you!!

Michelle,
Thanks so much for responding. I just think that if the band truly were a diet that we wouldnt see and hear so many success stories. I do understand the process of learning to eat whats better for you first.
Good luck with and congrats on your progress!!!

Hi Christy. I read what you wrote in another's blog about dieting with the band. I felt compelled to write because I don't count calories and still lost 51 lbs(banded 10/27).....You do NOT haaave to diet with the band to lose weight. However, you will find that once you cannot eat as much as before, you want to eat things that are better for you, protein first, veggies second, and carbs last. It is what your body desires. The exception to the rule: cookies, ice cream, high carb drinks and nuts(yes, nuts)...these all go down really easy with the band and can easily get out of control. It is always better to just STAY AWAY from these foods as much as possible. It is also important to exercise. I have made it a habit and now seems as normal. The band is the best thing I EVER did for myself. Good luck to you!
