I tell you what I waited and waited and the lady at the drs office was very generous and very prepared they had all the papers for me ready to be filled out that I needed . Ok so first in july I had my seminar, then I met with one of their drs and got all my info ready for insurance well come to find out that dr wasn't in my network so I had to do it all over again with one of theire other drs, consultation that is. Ok so in august my paperwork was received by insurance and like oct. they requested more info which was a physch eval and a group sesion and I did both and resubmited all that to them and it was sent to review on nov. 6 well finaly today after calling and calling and worrying to death about it, I've been approved on 12/29/06. So I hope to have mine done in late Jan. Hope this helps u in some way please be patient I had almost given up by the time this finaly came?>

Is The Biggest Loser biased in favor of men?
Chris1982 replied to ser123's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Kai Came really close guys I mean all eric had to do was go home and get the munchies and she would have one so I thought it was pretty close -
Yea but they say 30 buisness days and we had a holiday last month so today was day 30 so I'm anxious once again to see what is said tom.
-
O yes I call once a week and they are always working on it they were supposed to have it all finished up today so I am going to call them again tommorow and see what they have to say its been in review for 6 long weeks and well here I am still waiting. But it was submitted to them like 3 months ago and they sent out some more requirements for me and after finishing those up it got submitted again and put into review on NOV 11 so who knows? Me and my hr department called together yesterday and it was supposedly on high priority on getting it finished..

Personal Question About The Surgery?
Chris1982 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok I've not ever had any kind of surgery and have heard many scary tales lol. But one main question on my brain laugh if you want, but do you have to wear a cathater or casater I don't like the sound of how that is used and really would like to avoid this and in my mind don't see the need of having one for such a short surgery... I mean I don't pee the bed so I shouldn't pee while in such a short surgery. Just wondering if anyone woke up with a bag hooked to them??:notagree -
Yes Doctor Ponce is a great doctor in the Chattanooga area he has two partners that are with him also depending on what type of insurance you have but if you would like to set up a seminar I can get you the number for it just let me know.

Ok Guys Experiment Tunafish/Babyfood!
Chris1982 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok Guys Experiment Tunafish/Babyfood! Ok I did and experiment last nite with a coke bottle turned upside down into a glass like a funnel. I was just wanting to see how long the hourglass effect would take to work, I know its a lame way to go lol but hey I'm very optimistic and have to use what tools I have, so anyways I first poured babyfood into my coke bottle and within minutes all the food was out of the bottle and into the glass. So the hourglass effect worked for babyfood going through the bottleneck, so my next experiment was tunafish on the bottom with some green beens on the top i ran that through the blender first and made sure it was somewhat juicy before putting it in the bottle, well all I can say is that the tuna for the most part stayed in the bottle even after I poured water on the top hoping it would make it fall out? But it didn't even after a full hour it remained so what do you think guys lame experiment or will the band be similar to the bottleneck? -
Ok Guys Experiment Tunafish/Babyfood!
Chris1982 replied to Chris1982's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I guess your rite with the fact that some stomache acids would come up to help, and really it should take a while for the solid foods to hourglass out if it was working properly perhaps I just wasn't patient enough but my wife was ready to kill me for making the kitchen and living room smell like tuna and babyfood so I had to end the experiment within an hour lol. -
lol well I've not been banded but I've heard other bandsters mention that the air can't get out except through the back door most of the time, good luck with that wish I had a solution but like I said I'm still a pre-bandster.

Stupid question but I would like an answer...
Chris1982 replied to DerickM's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My Doctors partner Dr. Ponce told us that he actually had a couple of guys that were in Karate and are going to stay in it they just are now wearing a protective pad around their somache when sparing I'm sure you've seen them. -
:clap2: Well most people here feel the same I think before being banded but hey if it gets the weight off its well worth it. I'm Chris and am hoping to be banded next month. Trust me this site will help ease your mind about alot of things.
