I'm just glad I am not the only one that is struggling with this! I get banded on Dec 22nd. I know its going to be a drastic change so I am trying to make it a little less drastic by cutting out pop (havent had any for about a month) and my caffeine (switched to de-caf everything). I wanted to cut out fast food too, but honestly its been a joke. Everytime I eat something fast food I say ok this is it, no more. Then the next day here I go again. Its a vicious cycle!!! I need to start planning ahead more, I guess I just am not sure how....? (In nursing school full time and my schedule is crazy, leave home when its dark and come home after dark, away from home atleast 2 nights a week, surrounded by terrible choices) I am really excited about this and I have never wanted anything more! I have prayed about this for 4 yrs and its all finally coming together. Just wish I could be succeeding more on cutting stuff out. Now that I have spilled my guts... ......Thanks for listening

Hey all, I am scheduled for surgery on the 22nd of Dec with Colorado Bariatrics. I have talked to a few people who say that they were on pre op diets. The only thing they told me was that I was to be on clear liquids for 72 hours before my sugery. What is your input? Pre op diet or no pre op diet? Thanks for your help!!

Hey, Congrats on getting the process started... it can take awhile but dont lose heart! Where there is a will there is a way. Dont beat yourself up, take one day at a time and remember we didnt get this way overnight, it takes time and patience. Hang in there and remember you are not alone! Cali :smile2:

Ok, thats what I'll do. Dr. Brown, yes its Colorado Bariatrics its connected with Pres St. Lukes. Its suppose to be a center of excellance? I liked all the team. I went today for all my nutrition stuff and psych eval, so I am on information overload. Nervous but excited!

I'm not sure I want to be "lucky", I really want things to go well! Do you think I should be on more of a pre op diet?
