    just banded, from singapore

Welcome! I had a lot of brusing also but it will go away after about 2 weeks. Don't hurt yourself by cheating on the diet. Call the surgeon or nutritionist and tell them you're hungry.

    In a mood of Panic....

It's natural to be nervous about the pending surgery. However, if you're in a panic, it might be a good idea to speak to a member of the surgeon's team before you go in for the surgery.
  6. Some of the surgeons I work with consider "hardship" cases and do the cases for a very reduced rate and sometimes even free of charge. Of course, the hospital will give a break for cash but rarely provides free services.
  7. Many U.S. surgeons will only disclose a self-pay rate during a private consultation. It never hurts to make an appointment and shop around.

    No Weight loss!

Just keep following your prescribed post-op plan and the weight will come off. You could be holding onto excess fluid from the surgery. Stay away from the scale for a few days.
  9. Keep it clean and get to your surgeon's office for an evaluation and maybe some blood work as well.
  10. Welcome! Yes, as the swelling goes down, you'll be able to drink more and then advance on your diet as prescribed. Try sipping water throughout the day and getting in those protein shakes.

I'm confused as well. You should have been given a diet to follow post-op. Call your surgeon's office ASAP and ask them for the guidelines.
