hey all I am Keri. I am 31 mom to 4 amazing kids, and wife to Darian who is a soldier. I am being banded on the 20th of nov. I have a 2 day pre op diet. clear liquids for 2 whole days, and a milk of magnisia chaser on the 2nd day! Tomorrow I am going to start eating soft foods only Keri

I didn't have to do the 6 month diet. I did the psych eval, Dietician, pulmonary, and details of my past dieting, and got the approval in 4 days maybe! Good luck Keri

I am in Georgia, I am going to Dr Steinberg in Decatur. He is wonderful, and isn't pushy on one procedure or other. I knew what I wanted and he agree with me. I would def go with a doctor who is going to allow you to be agreed with what you want done. Listen to the reasons as to why one verses the other. Hope that helped keri

Hey all I am Keri 31 years old I have 2 sets of twins. Logan and Spencer are 8 Cade and Lara just turned 5 yesterday I have been heavy since the day I hit puberty. I was always told I have a pretty face, and would be beautiful if I would diet and loose weight. After being heavy all my life I was able to loose some weight but hit a platue about 230's I talked to my Doc and he said give it a few more months and then we would talk about other options. And so, here I am today...... the best option, lapband! I am excited scared nervous, and ready! Keri

wow I see alot of other diets, and mine is simular to the above! But Clear Liquids for 2 days, and on the 2nd day I have to take 2 doses of milk of mag. Keri

I got my surgery date!! Nov 20th is my surgery pre op the 17th of nov. So I am so close!! Yippeee:thumbup:

I am so close to getting a date for my surgery, and I am fustrated beyond belief cause I don't know my date.... I know it will be in Nov, but I hate not knowing.... :tt1: I signed my paperwork yesterday and got the pre-op prep.... 2 days of liquids, (clear liquids). I am so excited, and nervous too. I can't wait to know..... I should have a date tuesday! :tongue_smilie:

thanks Mindy, I know its Close..... oh I can feel it. I am truely thinking about what I am going to look like a year from now. As I just found out my lil brother is going to propose to his girlfriend, so I want to look healthy and if I am asked to be in the wedding party, I want it not to look the big one in the dress. Thank you so much for the support. I am truely greatful. I think that I will be just fine, I am scared of surgery, and waking up and pain. BUt I am a tough cookie. I have 4 kids so I can't be down to long. I have 2 sets of natural twins. I am not only doing this for me but for them too. I want to be there for a long time, and more active. I do got to the gym about 4 days a week. I plan on getting there more after the surgery. I love the eliptical and the treadmill. Thanks again! Keri

I am a nurse, so I have some knowledge of what is expected of me, and the "fun" things I have to do before surgery. I have been pricing the whey protein and getting ready to make my final selection. I am nervous. About being around food again. What if it clogs, erosion....?? All the possible problems. Thank you so much for listening Keri

Where are you from, at what stage in the Lap Band process are you? I am orginally from NY, Currently in Georgia, due to armed forces. My hubby is in the US army. I am signing my consent form on friday and hopefully will be lapbanded next month. What 's your weight loss background? Since I have been about 13 years old, I have been on lowfat, no fat, weight watchers, atkins, no carbs, high Protein......... I have dropped up to 50lbs Any specific issues that are bothering you? Not at this time!

Hello all I am Keri, I am 31, and was recently approved for Lapband surgery last wednesday. I have struggled with my weight loss since puberty. I have been talking about WLS since 2005, and have decided that it is time. I am meeting with my Doctor on friday to sign consent papers, and hopefully making a date for the surgery. I am married to the best soldier in the world, and have 2 sets of Natural twins. I want to be the best wife and mommy ever, and if know that my weight had held me back.
