I was banded the same day. I totally have had the regret feeling and if I didn't get any restriction with a 6 cc fill.......what the heck.??? I totally relate! It makes me really fustrated. I am kicking myself for making the band decision. I have cried. I am very disappointed for the food choices I have made. I had some christmas Cookies..... If you ever want to talk just PM me. My husband is my sponser and we have tricare. Prime covers lapband, also.......I did NOT have to go to walter reed. I got it here in the state we live in. We are tricare south. My whole process started on 11 sept, and ended on oct 8th with an approval. If you have been overweight your entire time your spouse has been in, you already have at least 5 years of weights. Call and ask for a referral to a surgion, pluse also make sure the doc you see is for your decision for WLS. you will need 5 years of weights diets you have tried.... IE weight watchers, atkins, pills and drinks. psych eval pulmonogist consult for PFT possibily EKG and a clearence letter from your PCM Good luck! So I did that tonight......ate slowly for 20 min. It was a small amount of ziti...about a cup. I could have eaten more, and I had a little more..... I never did feel full........Kinda bummed. I am already at 6 cc's and I am ok right now, but seems that I am not restricted at all. :thumbup: I was really hopeful Keri

ANd he put............... 6CC's in.... I was a little shocked. It was great, no pain...... watched him do it all. I def felt some restriction when I went to have some egg drop soup. Tasted so good. I ate so slow.................. It was cold at the end. LOL I can only have liquids the rest of today and all day tomorrow. So.........was that just weird he put in 6..??

I have suffered with this since age 5 and I am on embrel 2 tmes weekly. I do really well on the injections. Keri

So is flouro is the best? I hope he can be a little aggressive. I have 2 hour drives to get to him, and the miles on my van are costing me alot! But I will be good and patient Keri

well now I am going to try it. Obviously if I get gasy I will not drink out of a straw, however........someone said that whole whos drinking out of the cup before you and if it wasnt' cleaned right........ Keri

is there anyone changing the weights. I have posted several and there not being changed. my current weight is 234.5 and my day of surgery weight was 258 thanks Keri

Yes I know what you are going through.... I have learned to busy myself when I get like that. Go for a walk. Get a glass of water ( if it is later than 60 min) or write what I am feeling and seeing if I am truely hungry! You can do this! Keri

the dreading " backed up feeling":redface: I am 16 days post op.......and I am still dealing with constipation. I am on full liguids and purees. Heres the thing. I weaned myself of my natural lax... coffee....... 2 cups every morning. It is really the only thing that works for me. I hate taking ex lax, and M.O.M Will I ever be able to have coffee!! :thumbup: Keri

Good morning all, I am 3 days post op. Pain is def more tolerable. Port site is annoying. But I think I will get used to that..... ( I hope) I don't think I am eating enough. But I am not hungry. I ate some really great cream of wheat. so good. I am drinking my protein shakes. So how are you all doing?? Keri

I have very bad head hunger. Before I was banded. I literally ate a portion controlled meal with my family. I would measure it all out. example: a 6 oz chicken breast, 1/2 cup of starch, and veggies. I would clear the table, we would be sitting down in the living area, and I would feel like I was starving. I have it still now..........I don't think it is that bad. But I have talked with my Nutrician and she told me not to eat 3 meals a day, but 6 small meals. She gave me some great examples too. I know what you are going through. I don't have my first fill yet, and I am hoping that this will relieve some of that head hunger. But After reading alot of the posts after there first fill.........I am not that encouraged. I hope you can get some help and have you talked to your nutriciast. Maybe they can help with some training technicquies. Keri

I am at a standstill too. I did however start going to the gym and will do this 3-4 times a week I am really upset that the scale hasn't moved.... But we are still recovering! Keri

mine is on the right side and it is near my low rib.... However, it is annoying and very uncomfortable during certian activites!

Wow these are great for me to try. I can't take my blender to work, but these seem perfect for me. I have to drink 2 a day while I am on my liquids only post op Thanks for this info Keri
