    Any October Bandsters!??!?!

Hello everyone! I am happier this morning after ready about everyone else. I thought I was the only one starving! My weight is at a stand still right now and I don't get my first fill till Dec 4th. I was banded on Oct. 27th. I am down 22lbs total. Only 56 more till I reach my ultimate goal of 120 pounds! I go back and forth with eating real food and liquids. I feel like I am eating to much when I eat solid food. I feel like I have no restriction at all and it drives me nuts. Good Luck to everyone!!!
  4. Hello!! I am sorry I have not been on here much! I would love to be your lb buddy! I am down 22 lbs since right before my surgery! How are you doing?

  5. Heather, I also got my band on 10/27 and thought maybe it would be good for us both to travel this road together. I am much older (58), but would like to encourage and receive encouragement from someone who is exactly my age (band age). I just signed up today, and am not really great on the computer, but I will look for you and root for your progress. Hope you are feeling well.

    Any October Bandsters!??!?!

Hello everyone! I had my surgery on Monday morning! I was not to nervous that morning. I think I was more nervous the night before! I am still sore but mostly where my port is. It stings whenever I move around! The gas is pretty bad as well. I have been trying to make myself burp and it does not work so well. I have been getting a little better over the past couple of hours. I did not come home till Tuesday afternoon and I am happy for that! The pain meds really helped me! I am on stage one liquids till my first appt on the 13th of Nov! I am hoping I can live till then! lol Does anyone have any good ideas on liquids to eat that we may have not thought of? I am going to get sick of the chicken broth here really soon! Thanks for all the support!!

    Any October Bandsters!??!?!

I am 9 hours away from leaving for my surgery. Trying to make sure I have everything packed for my stay in the hospital (2 night stay for me) and getting the kids stuff layed out for while I am there so they don't go to school dressed like Punky Brewster if my husband picks it out!! lol I am nervous! My belly is growling from this liquid diet. I can't wait to chew some food. I know it will be a few weeks! I will live!!! Good luck to everyone going in tomorrow!!! Hugs

October Bandsters!!come out come out wherever you are

Hello October Bandsters! I am fairly new to the site and have been taking the last few days to read some of the posts and take everything in! I am getting my band on Monday the 27th! I am excited and nervous all at the same time! I am so sure everyone here has gone thru the same thing! I do have a question. I was told I will be on clear liquids for at least the first week or two! Do you guys have any suggestions for that. I have the beef and chicken broth and jello and popcicles. I am not sure what else to add. It seems kind of boring but from what I have been told by some people you have to force yourself to eat the first few days to a week. Please keep me in your prayers and I so enjoy reading all of your stories and suggestions! Hugs to all Heather

    Tricare Prime??

I think you have to have your consult with General Surgery first but you can always call them and ask if you can go ahead and book it! I can't hurt!!!

    Tricare Prime??

Yay for new buddies!!! The Psycological appt was fine. It lasted about 30 mins or so and he just asked about my diet history and family past. Nothing hard!!! The Docs at Balboa want you to lose 10 percent before your surgery! My weight was 198.8 at my consult with General Surgery so they told me to lose 10. I am down to 187 right now! I am only 5 foot 1 so every pound is shown on me!! lol My BMI is 36 or 37 now. I have Hight Blood Presure so I was approved right away by the doc! I hope everything is easy for you! Just a little hint...try to get your appt with the Nutrisionist asap. She is booked up and she is the only one that does the Bariactric appts. Get on the waiting list also in case someone cancels. The is how I got my stuff done so fast. My original date to get in and see her was Oct 15th and she had a cancellation in Sept for the next day and I was able to go! Other wise I would not be doing my Surgery till Dec or Jan. I don't mind questions so ask away!!!!
