Here is the link: Plateau Buster Diet Questions and this is the diet: How to break a plateau #1 - Do this for 10 days to break a plateau #2 - Drink 2 quarts of water a day #3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day #4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day beef pork chicken turkey lamb fish eggs low fat cheese cottage cheese plain yogurt or artificially sweetened (?) peanut butter beans/legumes You may also have: sugar free popsicles tea or coffee sugar free soda sugar free jello broths/bullion (sp?) crystal light drinks #5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!! #6 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise daily Im not sure why shes not on here..
  2. So it sounds like none of us have been able to do the 5 day test and make it:D It is nice to loose the quick weight again, i dropped 3 lbs in the 2 days i made it... Christine found a Plateu diet on here for bandsters, i think ill give something like it a try, my prob is im addicted to fruit and vegies.. so im gonna keep those in my diet...
  3. Tamara did you find out where the surgeons are located? Maybe this place is like the dr office we get our fills done at...?? I think all of us were scared to death of it all at one point, surgery, fills, surgery, death, surgery, being put to sleep, etc. We also all were scared of the idea of loosing weight first because we all struggled with maintaining any loss we ever got. So girl yuou are 100% normal:D I will agree the band isnt for everyone, you still have to "diet" and work ur butay off... it just helps u control how much you eat. And for some people makes them change some things.. But unluckily for me i can eat anything.....:thumbup: Glad you joined our team!
  4. Tamra, personally I would go with the orientation that is closest to either A where you work or B where you live, because that is where you will be going 1x a month at minimum... If you go to richmond surgery will be there if you go to the other that is where your surgery will take place. I would always recommend dr baggs, the pre weight loss is tricky.. some of us had to loose 10% one of us has to loose like 80 lbs (i believe).. way MORE then 10%... I had to loose 23lbs i went to my orientation at 263 surgery at 218 so i lost 45 before surgery. So i just got back from camping ate crap but didnt gain, i am severly dehydrated though.. tonight i get.... TROUT for dinner:D yay! I think instead of doing the 5 day test im gonna just do all protein, vegies and fruits. Missed ya girls:D

  6. SOOO i gave up! My goodness! I picked a horrible weekend to do it! I did the liquid days ok.. then comes today... Great until DINNER! Mikes like lets go out to eat, so we go to olive garden im ok get soup and salad... SALAD! hello im not supposed to have salad! So i havent ate anything else, but i decided im gonna hold off until next week and im gonna do it different.. I was reading teh 5day test is a gastric test... So im gonna tweak it. I got pretty icky feeling on the liquid so im gonna do 2 days of liquids all morning afternoon then 1 full soft protein for dinner.. then the other three days are ONLY protein.. no carbs or breads. Im debating on the fruit and vegies.. The tuna/egg salad btw is delicious! Im sure eventually we will all have the perfect plateu breaker test for us. I think i woulda succeded if this weekend wasnt fathers day weekend.. Tomorrow we are going camping, lol so nothin woulda worked there either. I am seeing a diff with drinking just water.. also, im adding fruit to my water jug. OH and we went to denios in roseville i spent 12 bucks and got probably 40 dollars in vegies and fruit!!! AMAZING! Lol im so lame.
  7. HI girls:D 7 lbs! That is going to fly! I promise, and 1/2 cup girl u kick bootay! I eat more then that right now:) Well not during the 5 day test. Tina let me know how you do, and dont worry if you cheat please tell me about it lol. I know im evil, the first day i did fine, now yesterday i had a bite of auds fish stick and then today omg im STARVING, and im on the soft protein! Maybe i need more... i only had 1/4 cup of egg beaters.. i guess i could up my amnts.. since its ALL im having... but i found myself being fed by audrey lol..... SERIOUSLY, my sweet angel walked up to me with graham cracker goldfish in her fingers shoving them in my mouth, i had about 20 so only 50 or so cals but damn it! I have a huge carb prob:D AND now im thinking i have a toddler problem too.. she feeds mommy way to easily. We are headed to denios im gonna do that for my workout today try and get some campin gear. Oh and, i wanna go on a camping trip anyone wanna come? Mike and i wanna try to get a group together:D

  9. Day 3: Turkey & Chicken Salads For our Neighbors who do not like canned fish we suggest these turkey and chicken salad recipes for Day 3 of the Five Day Pouch Test. You may used canned meat products or fresh. Be careful to measure your portion, 1 cup per serving, and eat as much as possible in the 15 minute time limit. Turkey Egg Salad Serves 12 (about 1-cup each serving) 1 cup fat-free mayonnaise 1/2 cup vinaigrette 1/2 cup relish 1/2 cup celery, chopped 1/4 cup green onion, chopped 6 eggs, hard-boiled, chopped 6 cups turkey breast, boneless and skinless, chopped Mix mayonnaise, vinaigrette, eggs, relish, celery and green onion seed in large bowl. Gently stir in turkey. COVER and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. Nutritional data: 247 calories. Protein, 32 grams (54%); Fat, 9 grams (33%); Carbohydrates, 8 grams (14%). yum Parmesan Tuna Patties by BamaGal Page 29 - Neighborhood Cookbook Ingredients: 1 (6 3/4-oz) can albacore tuna 1 tablespoon mayonnaise 1 large egg 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese 2 tablespoons ground flaxmeal 1 dash garlic powder 1 dash onion powder 1 dash salt Directions: Drain tuna. Blend all ingredients in a medium size bowl and form into patties. Fry in oil (I use olive oil, but you may use cooking spray) until brown on edges. Turn. Fry until done.   11. Tina, i have been living off the bean soup i sent the group, yeah it is a slider, and yeah this is a pain in the rear, and im hungry today... I have cheated once today, had a bite of auds dinner but i left it at that, and it satisfied my need... It is hard but if i get anything positive out of it 2 days will be way worth it! Oh and on the 5 day diet you get to eat more then 3x. So here is what i had today: B: sf pudding L 1/3 cup of the bean soup S sf fudgesicle D 1/2 cup of the bean soup by the end of the night im gonna end up having a pudding or another fudgesicle, its 70 cals vs 40.. so we will see:D I am ready for the soft proteins though... But ill talk you thru it, i do recommend NOT going to restaurants, i missed out on bunco tonight cause of my liquid diet today and i missed out on going to lunch with mike and auds, but its only 2 days...
  12. Lol your a kick, yeah i think it tastes like fridge too thats why i like water bottles... And i agree with everyone on this sabbotage thing, its like oh ill have a small bite thats it.. then you crave it so u have another small bite and clal it a day then i notice i do it again and again the next day. My prob right now is carb overload.. i never realized how much i liked CRACKERS! And Toast, and bread (yeah i dont have to toast my bread......) Everyone raise your water... Here is to us all getting back on track:D And back on the loosing wagon!!!!:sad: Cheers! Ok im corny sorry. Well today is day two of my 5DPT (pouch test) I feel like i did 2 days post op.. when you feel bla.. but im stickin to it.. ive been thinking of going a third day, but not sure if its needed. today i got back on track with my active, the silly thing says i missed 4 days lol. But i know 2 days ago we walked our 3.5 miles so im good for that day, and yesterday my nite walk was canceled to feelin like crap from not eating, and then this am i did one lap in the heat (yuk) and then the active.. I think im more thirsty on water then i was on crystal lite! We will have to ask robin if crystal lite sabotages us..
  13. Christine, i own one of those, i dont know, i dont know if its the plastic or what but it still isnt the right flavor for me, but also the only bottled water ill drink is dasani or aquafina.. Ill have to pull ours out and try it again.. mike will probably thank you lol. I have been using the fridge filter for my crystal lite type stuff.. ill try filling the pitcher with that water:D double filter:D

Oh and girls i did miss my workout tonight, i was gonna go for my walk whne my friend needed an adult emergency item... so i drove to meet her half way.. hey i made 50.00 soo worth it, but now im getting the low calorie shake that we all got preop.. Where you feel kinda sick and dizzy... so i decided ill skip tonight and walk in the am when my body is back to not thinking its hungry:D
  15. Day one Christine, i decided to do it last night around 12:D Im not doing CLEAR but it would be the equivalent of our stage 2 the cream soups... Oh and girls i went and bought a bunch of bottled water again so we will see if that helps too.. Mikes like darn cause i saved us soo much money lol 40 bucks a month on waterbottles is outrageous:D
  16. Don't take the MOM, that starts from the top and we arent supposed to do that cause of the band. Take any suppository, or benefiber. Believe me i understand constipation i was really bad in the begining, now im on vegies and fine.... shh not supposed to be Candi you are sooo normal, we all do it and i still do. I havent had a problem with regain but not loosing i do. It will be nice to have restriction but the thing with the band is it is all will power.. cause we honestly can eat whatever we want... SO one day down i did AWESOME this am.. no cravings, then tonight hits around 7pm... i got dizzy and hunger hit, so i had some V8 soup, didnt do crap. audrey had a gordita, and i did so good at ignoring it, got me out a sugar free popsicle, and ate that.. then i got her watermelon... had a bite of it, but i guess its still considered a liquid...:sad: But boy this is some will power, glad im doing it though, makes me feel like im in control again.. I think im gonna do 3 days of soups though.. im supposed to go to bunco tomorrow a couples one but i dont think i can go cause can i ignore the food then also? Obviiously cravings hit me at night...

  18. Oh some of u know i started teh 5 day diet thing we have, Ive done really well so far... and there was cake tasting at wally and mike and auds had it i was good and said no. Now if i wasnt doing this lil detox diet i probably woulda said sure. So glad I am doing it:D
  19. I was taking the Flintstones, whats weired is on the container it says till 3/10 for when they expire. But mine had black spots all over them reminded me of mold, so i wouldnt eat them. Today i bought more viactive some of the calcium (i eat that daily) and then they have a multi vitamin so i got that one too... my prob is having to take them separate.. lol makes me forget the flintstone.. I think ill put one by the bed. Went shoppin today spent 89 not sure on what, i hate that!
  20. Tina, you know whats funny is pre band all i drank was water, but ONLY water bottles.. I liked the flavor stuff cause i saved a lot of money lol. So im gonna try the 5 day pouch test.. i want some restriction back, girls i can eat anything, and i can eat up to 2 cups.. only know that cause i was able to have 1.5 cups of salad and some bread.. way too much. I did salad my whole trip though so i didn't gain, but i didn't loose either. Oh my garsh, im so bad at taking my vits that the 6 left went bad! They turned black! Go figure. I think im gonna switch to a swallow so i can remember more often:D Ok i better get dressed and get my butt to the store or ill never go lol.. ttyl
  21. Wow my chatty cathys!!! Well we are back from Oregon, it is beautiful there, glad i got to see dad. Ate a salad a day lol. Only thing i think that kept me at the same weight. GOod to know about crystal lite, thats ALL i drink lately i think ill go back to water now!!! Well i actually drink the store brand.. It says Calories 0 Tot Fat 0 Cholesterol 0 Sodium 10mg but 0% Carbs 0% and 0 g protein 0% So it does have sodium... so that could be whats holding me up, so im gonna start doing waterbottles again for awhile.. TINA HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! And enjoy whatever you want, thats why we got the band girl! Sorry it didnt feel to hot.. next year :wink: try the frozen yogrut instead..... I havent tried icecream but frozen yogurt works fine. Ive been stressed lately cause im only down 10 lbs since my fill 6 weeks ago now.. Thats a long time. I did great in the first 3 weeks then went to matts wedding and lost all my restriction. So my goal is to hit 189 this week.. well from now till fill... im now a loose 12.. so we will see. Clearly im loosing somewhere.. Well girls i hope all of you make it thru these job losses... You are all the best! Mike has had a lot of rejection letters lately and even more interviews, one this week said out of 200 candidates he was in the top 20 for the phone interview, well he didnt make it to the top 5. My goodness.. this is killin me. Well i gotta go to bed ill get on tomorrow again:D Hugs girls!

  23. Ok this kid i call audrey is going to make me GO INSCANE!!! my goodness. Ive never seen her soo whinnie, and crying soo much. Ok so onto dinner, we had steak and potato.. I had 2oz of steak OMG THE BEST ever.. went down fine and i took mine and auds half of the baked potater and mashed it added cheese and microwaved then i gave her half.. So I feel full now FINALLY but i still have that weired feeling in my mouth where i think head hunger comes from.. Tina what is the book sayin about salads, after we all had a salad for lunch??? lol

  25. MEMEMEMEME I will be there YAY!!! I soooo need you girls. My head hunger is KILLING ME today! I can eat all day long whatever and my stomach keeps growling, and giving you that hunger taste in ur mouth! I am sooooooo not happy today, probably hit around 1200 cals!!! I did awesome at ignoring it until i had to wait the hour to drink after lunch by then i was starving.. so i had crackers and laughing cow cheese, was good for another hour then starving.. then i snacked some more, then i left for dinner. THIS IS CRAZY! This am i had watermelon cause 1 hr after bfast i was hungry. ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY this is a first for me. And if i just ignore it i get sick to my stomach soo weired! I wish i PBed or something cause im not having a good day. Either A finally the stress of becoming homeless has hit me or B. TOM is playing with my hormones.. i dont get TOM physically.. yeah im a lucky b!0t** Somewhat i would have no clue if i was preggers lol. Ok well count ME in and Donna and her 3 guests in but they will have their own table (the guests) that is!:w00t:
