Is there any help for gas after lapband surgery?
sheebz commented on CatLover1963's blog entry in Blog 49535
HI Catlover , Sorry you are feeling sooooo bad . I had the same problem and read on this sight an article by a gastrointestinal surgeon . EAT FOUR CHOPPED DRIED APRICOTS A DAY. Personally I have them in the morning with my porrige oats ,but then I am Scottish so that explains it . Try it . It worked for me and I was really bad .. Good luck -
:thumbup:Hi, Firstly ,don´t panic . It wont last for ever only a couple of months. secondly my Doctor precribes SOLVAZINC,that is a zinc supplement in the UK. I have read other posts on here where they have been prescribed BIOTIN. Either of these can be bought across the counter here but don´t know about the US. Lastly use a good hair thickening shampoo ,conditioner. I also used Gliss volume mousse and VO5 gel spay. All helped during the difficult time.

UK lady checking in

Hello to you. I too am from the uk. Scotland to be exact. What you say sounds so familiar . It is only natural that you feel apprehensive. I was banded on the 17 th Sept and have lost 3 st 3 lbs. Feel good now but it has taken me all this time to recover. I find it amazing that I have lost so much but am glad it has slowed down now as quick weight loss has side effects. Do your homework ,this sight is brilliant. Don,t feel a lesser person for using the surgical route. You deserve the best so go for it. All the best Sheena -
Like you I was on oxygen as my lung function following surgery was very poor. I coughed for about 2 weeks and brought up a kind of clear liquid. I have an asthmatic cough and initially thought that was the cause . Now I am 4 weeks post op and am fine . Lost 13lbs and cough less then ever. . Sheena

Hi to all of you from Sheena in sunny Spain(holiday home). I was banded on the 17th Sept by Mr Galloway at the Nuffield Hospital Glasgow Scotland. I have lost 13lbs so far and am having my first fill on Mon 20th in Glasgow. I am coming to Las Vegas on the 14 th of Decenber for two weeks and:thumbup: am a bit apprehensive about the 11 hour flight or if anything should go wrong while there. However now I have found this sight and you fellow banndsters from Las Vegas I am sure you would be able to point me in the right direction if required . Nice to meet you all Sheena
