I really appreciate all the good info. I was banded on 10/14 and am finally due to go on mushies on 10/28 and can't wait. I'm more into salty stuff and relly don't like the protein drinks that are sweet. One of the staff in the office told me to try egg salad next week (without bread of course) using light mayo and I'm excited at that prospect.

I have just been approved for Lap band a couple weeks ago and went through all the test and pre-op and am set for my lap band on Tuesday, 10/14/08 and am so excited and a bit nervous too I will admit :thumbup: Any info I can get from others about what to expect with surgery and the first few days would be great. I have a local support group through the doctor I am using Dr. Brad Ray but every bit helps. I live in Indiana and am married (30 years) and have 2 grown kids and lots of health problems I'm hoping to improve on,now is my time!!

Thank you so much. I'm doing pretty good and due to go on pureed foods on Tuesday. Yay. I've made it on liquids but am ready for something with a bit more texture :eek:

I'm scheduled for 10/14/08. Got my pre-op done on 10/10. Just a couple of days more ....

I just finished my pre-op on 10/10 and am scheduled for my banding on Tues. 10/14/08 yahhhhh Nervous but excited.
