  1. Hi Cindy - you are doing so well! I on the other hand am a slow loser! I had my last fill in March and have not been back for another one since! I need to make that appt. I have lost 30 lbs. I feel great and am excersising daily - i just wish it would come off faster! lol.. but slow is good. Just wanted to say you are looking great and keep up the good work. OK off to call Dr. Cook..... I need motivation and support but cant drive to hickory all the time... maybe i just should! Diana in Troutman. :)

  2. Hell all I live in Troutman and was banded by Dr. Cook at Frye on October 3rd and it was a very positive experience. I have absolutly no complaints! the entire staff went the extra mile! I was in Friday and out Saturday afternoon. I was wondering if there are any support groups closer to my area (statesville/mooresville) that i would be allowed to attend. It's a 35 -40 minute drive to Hickory - so just wondering if anyone knows of anything... thanks
  3. Hi fellow bandsters and soon to be bandsters! After one year of jumping thru hoops i had my stomach shortened on 10/3/08! one week today... I have 5 nice scars that will most likely go away someday - i get my staples removed on Thursday... I had it done by Dr. Leland Cook at the Hickory Surgical Center in NC and do not regret it at all. omg the before and after care staff of this center was just excellent. the nurses who watched me overnight was terrific! I have not one complaint. Today i had hoped to go out shopping (wally world for food n stuff) but what felt like a huge rock in my stomach kept me in bed. :tt2: so my husband had to go alone.. awww. just wanted to let you know i am here now - My name is Diana and married to a wonderful man named Mark. I am 47. I have one 28 yo daughter and a few furbabies. I have been thru hell and back with cancer and stuff since 2004. so hospitals are my friend now. :tt2: Hopefully losing this flab will help with my ailments.
  4. Hi fellow Pumpkins... I just wanted to say that I am feeling great 20 days after surgery! I did have a little nausea this morning but that's just about gone. I think it might have to do with eating some scampi that my husband made last night. My first shrimp and i know i should have waited on it but he makes the best!! so i only had about 5 pieces. I have been walking everyday and really don't miss diet cokes or fast food at all! even tho i have only lost 17 lbs, i feel so much lighter on my feet but the only thing that bums me out is that my husband doesn't notice the loss yet ... because he sees me everyday and night but other ppl have and that I LOVE!!! Good luck and thoughts to those who are being banded this week and to all those banded in October !!

Hi, I was just told to take a multivitamin... these were the suggestions: A Gummie vitamin (childrens) double the dose A Chewable Adult vitamin (single dose) After price checking at wally werld i chose the Centrum Chewables (orange flavor) and take one each morning. I feel like a kid chewing them up!
  6. That is Great news! I am 11 days out now and am finally feeling really back to "normal" as in my gas pains and rock in the stomach feelings are pretty much gone! Hey, How are you! well last week was Gas He** - I felt sooo bloated I just wanted to lie down and cry like a beached whale - lol... anyway, Saturday i wanted to go out shopping and I felt so bloated and like there was a big ball in my stomach that i stayed in bed Today, I felt really good. I did a little gardening since it was so nice out, and played with the dogs in the yard... walked... and relaxed.. hopefully tomorrow i can drive to town and get some errends done! I didnt feel real hungry the first week and even now i am having to force myself to eat. I have lost 9 lbs. since surgery so i am feeling positive. 11. yes - and that's what it is healing... i am still itching on day 7 post op plus i am a scab picker! i know, gross, but i think it has something to do with me wanting the insision to look neat! omg, im a freak... i used to do that with my other injuries and things growing up. i know it will just leave scars and my husband is constantly "scolding" me. ha ha ha
  12. just signed up on this site and i was banded last friday 10.03.08! Had a wonderful experience and would do it again! I am still tired and not drinking as much as they want you too cause i have CHF and was only used to drinking 2 litres a day! so, i am going to have to adjust somehow. Good luck to the upcoming surgeries! I am thinking of all of you
