Don't freak out about having surgery in Mexico. I brought my Daughter today to INT hospital through the beliteweight web site. Felt at ease from the moment we met the driver Alberto and the staff was amazing and so kind. Dr. Rodriguez Villerreal performed a wonderful surgery and we'll be going home in two day's. She's very excited to start her new life. I myself was banded 10/08/08, in America but I had the best insurance and paid nothing out of pocket. It would have cost her $17,500 plus aftercare by the same DR. I had. Here it cost $5,400 and well worth it. Good Luck! -

Hi, My wife and I were banded in Michigan about 2 years apart by the same Dr. but we had insurance. My daughter lives in Pensacola FL. and wants to come here to have it done. The problem is she has no insurance and was told it would be around $17,500. I'm trying to encourage her to get it done in Fl. Does anyone Know of Dr. Friedman in Pensacola and what he charges and is there any type of financing available. She is about 5"10 270 lbs. If you know of anyone else in that area please let me know? Thanks

Hi, Too many people don't give their body time to change, we want to loose it right away. I can tell you that I went through many plateaus before I realized these things that helped me. 1. I take liquid vitamins 2. Benafiber daily 3. Real protein foods. 4. Soup as a meal (i love all kinds). If you like to make your own can I recommend SOUP OF THE EVENING...BEAUTIFUL SOUP Everybody's body is different, it's been a year and a half for me and I have kept my weight under 200 lbs which was my original goal but I am still glad that I had this done. I believe it saved my life and added years to it. Good luck and God Bless. Marshall

Remember once you start eating mushies and then real food you will probley put some of the weight back on. This is normal. It took a long time and several fills to get restriction, around 7 cc's then when I got to 8 cc's I hit the sweet spot. How do I know because I started feeling full after a very small meal and I'm now loosing an average of 2 to 3 lbs per week. I was banded on 10/8/08 I started at 249 and now weigh 210, but I was at a platue for about 3 months. Be patient It will happen just be true to yourself and remember why you did this. FOR YOUR HEALTH. GOD Bless -
I was banded with the realize band on 10/8/09 I had several fills but didn't feel restriction untill I got to 7 I really didnt loose much weight till I got to 8 cc's. Now I'm loosing 2 to 3 lbs per week. I started at 249 I now weigh 210. I'm exactly where I want to be. Don't let the doctor tell you how much he's going to give you, you tell him. I would get no less then 1 cc per month. GOD Bless and good luck.

Hi Chi-Girl what your going thru is not unusual. I sent you the last comment, but wanted you to know My wife and I both had the surgery. She had it 1 1/2 years before I did. She went in at 226 and is now 158. She's frustreated because she has been at this weight for almost a year. She looks great but wants to loose about 10 more lbs and can't. She is @ 5 cc's on a 10 cc band, I told her to go get another fill it helps. I am now @ 8cc's on a 9cc band. I started @ 249 on 10/8/08 and am now @ 214 I didn't really loose weight and my appite till I got to 8 cc's (sweet spot) and now it's dropping fast and I'm full of energy. We can always help you through your tough times. You can e-mail me @ cmarbarrels@sbcglobal.net GOD Bless

Let me tell you I was banded on 10/8/08 and after 2 months I was going in reverse. I went in for many fills to get me to 8cc's on a 9cc band. I have just hit the sweet spot and it feels great!!. I eat about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of food and I'm full and I don't get hungry the weights droping fast. I eat lots of fish. Cod, Tilipa, salmon, shrimp ect. No Beef, Pork except for bacon. Some chicken mostly dark. Be patient it will happen but make sure your at the right fill. What band do you have? -
When were you Banded? I went about 4 months till someone noticed I was looseing weight, and complemented how good I was looking. That was the key that started the ignition, and thats what drives me to continue. If your at the right fill you won't want to eat. By the way what band do you have and how many cc's are you at?
