Any one use Dr. Daniel Huacuz-Tijuana?
Marshall replied to weightshaker's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Don't freak out about having surgery in Mexico. I brought my Daughter today to INT hospital through the beliteweight web site. Felt at ease from the moment we met the driver Alberto and the staff was amazing and so kind. Dr. Rodriguez Villerreal performed a wonderful surgery and we'll be going home in two day's. She's very excited to start her new life. I myself was banded 10/08/08, in America but I had the best insurance and paid nothing out of pocket. It would have cost her $17,500 plus aftercare by the same DR. I had. Here it cost $5,400 and well worth it. Good Luck! -

How much did you weigh when you started and how much were you looking to loose? -
Hi, My wife and I were banded in Michigan about 2 years apart by the same Dr. but we had insurance. My daughter lives in Pensacola FL. and wants to come here to have it done. The problem is she has no insurance and was told it would be around $17,500. I'm trying to encourage her to get it done in Fl. Does anyone Know of Dr. Friedman in Pensacola and what he charges and is there any type of financing available. She is about 5"10 270 lbs. If you know of anyone else in that area please let me know? Thanks

Do you know what Dr.Friedman Charges? or can someone give me an Idea of a payment plan?

Hi, Too many people don't give their body time to change, we want to loose it right away. I can tell you that I went through many plateaus before I realized these things that helped me. 1. I take liquid vitamins 2. Benafiber daily 3. Real protein foods. 4. Soup as a meal (i love all kinds). If you like to make your own can I recommend SOUP OF THE EVENING...BEAUTIFUL SOUP Everybody's body is different, it's been a year and a half for me and I have kept my weight under 200 lbs which was my original goal but I am still glad that I had this done. I believe it saved my life and added years to it. Good luck and God Bless. Marshall

Remember once you start eating mushies and then real food you will probley put some of the weight back on. This is normal. It took a long time and several fills to get restriction, around 7 cc's then when I got to 8 cc's I hit the sweet spot. How do I know because I started feeling full after a very small meal and I'm now loosing an average of 2 to 3 lbs per week. I was banded on 10/8/08 I started at 249 and now weigh 210, but I was at a platue for about 3 months. Be patient It will happen just be true to yourself and remember why you did this. FOR YOUR HEALTH. GOD Bless -
I was banded with the realize band on 10/8/09 I had several fills but didn't feel restriction untill I got to 7 I really didnt loose much weight till I got to 8 cc's. Now I'm loosing 2 to 3 lbs per week. I started at 249 I now weigh 210. I'm exactly where I want to be. Don't let the doctor tell you how much he's going to give you, you tell him. I would get no less then 1 cc per month. GOD Bless and good luck.

Let me tell you I was banded on 10/8/08 and after 2 months I was going in reverse. I went in for many fills to get me to 8cc's on a 9cc band. I have just hit the sweet spot and it feels great!!. I eat about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of food and I'm full and I don't get hungry the weights droping fast. I eat lots of fish. Cod, Tilipa, salmon, shrimp ect. No Beef, Pork except for bacon. Some chicken mostly dark. Be patient it will happen but make sure your at the right fill. What band do you have? -
When were you Banded? I went about 4 months till someone noticed I was looseing weight, and complemented how good I was looking. That was the key that started the ignition, and thats what drives me to continue. If your at the right fill you won't want to eat. By the way what band do you have and how many cc's are you at? I'm a failure...PLEASE HELP ME!!!
Marshall replied to ThinDolphin3's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I found the best way is to start a daily diary of what you eat. I mean everything then when you look at it, it will change the way you look at food because you will see whats slowing you down. Remember the band is only to slow down how much you eat not what you eat. Thats up to you. Be patient, Pray GOD Bless. -
I was banded on 10/08/08 I was 249 pre-opp and 239 Band date. Today I am 223lbs. I've hit a platue for 2 months where I go from 222 to 228 I just had my 3rd fill and I am now 6cc's on a 7cc band. I now feel good restriction and never feel hungry, but you must get your protein in. Be patient and keep the faith and PRAY it will happen. You didn't put it on over nite

Full liquids and protein?
Marshall replied to AngelWhisper's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have found the Labrada Lean Body carb watchers Protein Shakes are terrific. Chocolate Peanut butter, chocolate, strawberry, are all very good and they have 40 grams of protein per shake. I use 5 Ice cubes and 3/4 cup of milk and bled it. I buy them from Fitrx.com -
Missy123c, My Doc explained the other day that because we lay down at night the water which is normally in our legs is in our upper body giving the band a false sense of a larger fill. Therefor it's sometimes hard to eat in the morning until we level out. I'm at 3cc's on the realize band and I feel a little restriction but only in the morning. GOD Bless! I saw my surgeon yesterday for my first fill 3 cc's I told him about my visit to the hospital for pain in my right side. He said I still need some healing inside and should still take it easy for a while. When they put the port in it is stitched to your muscle, and the pain can travel till it heals. Be patient but if you feel there is a problem see the surgeon right away. GOD Bless, Marshall (Remember yesterday is history, tomorrow's a mystery and today is a gift) that's why they call it the Present :tongue2:

Hi, My wife and I are both Lapbanders she is 1 year out and 65 lbs. Lighter and am 1 month out and 14 lbs. lighter. Can you tell me a little about the confrence. Marshall:thumbup: -
I was banded on 10/08/08 and two weeks after started having sharp pains in my lower right side. Today I ended up in the Hospital with what I thought was an appendicites attack. After hours of X-rays and a CT scan, they sent me home saying everything looks good it must be complications from you lap band surgery. It may be normal but it sure the hell hurt. I see the Doc on thursday for my first fill. I'll see what he say's and then I'll share it with you. GOD Bless:rolleyes2:

I had the realize band surgery on 10/8/08 and am down 14 lbs since that date but feel like I have leveled off. I haven't had a fill yet so I'm fine. My wife had the lap band surgery in july of 07 she went in at 226 and today weighs 162. She gets up every morning and works out for about 45 minutes on a tread mill or stair stepper. She looks fantastic and the complements she gets drives her more. The most expensive part of the surgery has been the new clothes she buys but it's worth every penny to see her smile again. Keep the faith, it can happen, it will happen and I wish you all the luck in the world. GOD Bless
