That my surgery is a week away.I have preop visit with surgeon tomorrow,a visit with bariatric nurse to discuss post-diet and pre registration at the hospital tomorrow.I have paid my fee to surgeon.I have to pay the hospital 100.00 tomorrow and that is it.This time next week I will have my band.I have lost 7 pounds as of last Monday.I plan to see how much I am down at my doctors appt tomorrow.I am so excited.My kids asked me what was the lapband?I told them it was a toool to help me with my weight loss goal.Hoping my hubby will get the procedure done also.

I was at the hospital this morning at 6:30am.I was home by 11:00am.I was treated like a queen by my hospital coworkers.I am sore and full of the famous air everyone has.I am taking gas x and walking.I am trying to hold off on the pain meds until bedtime.I have no regrets.The docotr took every precaution to help me not be nausea.I took a pill this morning when I left the house that last 48 hours.The put a paptch behind my ear that last 3 days.The gave me plenty of Zofran IV and I have a prescription of it.They put this braclet on my wrist that press on my pressure point that helps with nausea.I am excited about my new birthday.I am looking forward and not behind.My 8 year old has taken care of his momma today.He has given me sips of fluid and spoon fed me jello.I will keep you posted on my progress.

Good morning.I am up and getting ready for my surgery.I am so thirsty and want a LARGE glass of cold water.Too bad I can't have none.I do get to sip a little to take a anti-nausea pill before leaving home.I could not sleep last night.I cleaned until about 3ish this morning.I will keep everyone post.

Today is my surgery day also.I went to bed around 3am.Getting up now to get ready.I have to be at hospital at 6:30.I am focusing on the healthier life I will have as my focal point. -
I wanted to see how much you paid out of pocket to the hospital and sugeon?I hope to find this information out today.

Tomorrow is the day I start a new journey.I am excited to find out today my arrival time for tomorrow.I will keep everyone posted.I have wanted to have this surgery since 2008.Every job I had had an exclusion on the coverage.I took my doctors advice and found a job that would cover it.If you find yourself in similar situation consider your options.I thank God for the smooth transition since my first appt in January.It has been smooth sailing.

Surgery date is the 15th.I have been doing the sugar buster diet. -
Just went shopping for my 1st week of liquid diet.I picked up some chewable Gas X also.Going to support group in the morning.

Reminder:There is a support group this Saturday at 10:00.It will be held at the Bariatric Institute.Let us pack the house and band together for support.Hope to see you there.

The company that just bought the hospital I work for have a huge wellness center that is FREE to employees and spouse.I am hoping my husband will consider the lapband also.

Only 5 more days until my surgery.I have all my pre and post op medications filled.Going this weekend to purchase food for week 1 post op diet and gas x strips.I will be attending a local support group Saturday morning.
