I am in Raleigh or at least outside of it anyways. I hope to be banded also in Nov. on the 6th. I also have BCBS. How long did it take to hear back from the insurance company? That is all I am waiting on. -

I live outside of Raleigh, NC and I am waiting for the word for November 6th. I am done with everything just waiting for the insurance for approval. -

I too been doing a lot of research on Lapbanding. I never heard anything like this before. My Phsy person told me that I could not drink any Alcohol. I would not worry about this at all. -
Thank you Sweetgothic. I did not know why they say not to drink from a straw. I hope to be band in December but I am really moving forward quickly I might be able to be on the band wagon in November now. I hope I do just as good as you all with the weight loss. 58 lbs is wonderful.:biggrin:

I am new to this as well but I have been reading this forum for about two weeks. I have readed that you normally don't lose anything until after your first fill. But I wish I have lost 21 lbs myself. I only lost 10 lbs on my own. I wish you all the best and I hope to be band in Dec 08 or Jan 09.
