i got approved to workout one month post op. but between trying to find the right gym, learning about additional supplements ( gotta love those BCAAs...especially for muscle recovery) i finally joined one. i'm currently 2 months post op and i switch it up between cardio and light weights. im down 40lbs as of today. i don't mind losing slow and steady because no matter what im still losing -
i have fibro and i am 2 1/2 weeks out and i haven't had a flare up or anything. Sure the pain in the first few days will hurt a tad more than the average person. but overall im happy i did it. Fibromyalgia can be controlled more without the use of medication if you are healthy and not overweight. I should have done this sooner. Please tell your cousin to seek a second opinion. i know many "spoonies" that have had wls and are so happy and feel so much better.

i take liquid calcium. i got it at whole foods
-
really..thats strange. my nut and dr both recommended it because i could add them in my protein..so its like two birds with one stone. plus liquid vitamins aren't filling. but everyone is different. good luck
-
i got all my vitamins in liquid form. a mutlivitamin with Iron, b12, Biotin ( for my hair), super b complex , Vitamin d3 and Calcium.

Ok so what's more important, the water intake, vitamin intake or the protein consumption?

This absolutely helps, never thought of the liquid vitamins. And I do use water for my protein shakes and that 2 a day for about another 16 oz. I never thought to add that. I need my hair, Imma handle this today...off to Rite Aid for liquid vitamins. Thanks if not, try whole foods..that is where i got the majority of mine and i got liquid Biotin on amazon.com. also twin labs makes a super b complex for anyone that has has weight loss surgery. you need those b vitamins -

get liquid Vitamins that you can mix in your Water ( that is what i have done). They are all equally as important. keep in mind that the majority of post op hair loss is due to lack of vitamins. so try not to ignore them. 30oz of water is better than no oz. and if im not mistaken...protein drinks count as your daily Fluid intake. you need Protein. find a powder or premade one that you like and stick with it. or get an unflavored powder and mix it in everything. hope this helps -
i am getting my sleeve on wednesday! i went back and forth on weight loss surgery..alot has happened in the last 5 years but i finally decided..this is it! i've been seeing my surgeon for the last 6 months, and im so nervous and excited at the same time. BUT friday..i got a small rash on my face. which is odd because i wash my face twice a day and always have clear skin. well....this rash turned into impetigo! and now im scared that this will derail my surgery. its not contagious after tonight...but this is killing me. if my surgeon changes my date again ( the original date was may 5th but it got moved up to april 30th) i would be beside myself.
