From my death bed (couch) of only a week post-banding - a week of over doing and paying the price, I reach, reach, and by just the tips of my fingers... YES! I clasp the trophy!

LOL - we believe he is part Maine Coon - his mama got out one snowy night and you know how that story ends! He's truly like me though, he eats the least of anyone in the house and weighs the most!!! Btw- I seriously can't lift him right now because he's over my 20lb post band lifting limit, lol. He's spent the last few days at my side trying because I won't hold him! And thanks for all the comments! :-)

Yes, I am such a big dork I took a picture of myself during my pre-op visit - BUT I'm blaming the doctor for leaving me waiting for an hour, he's lucky that's all I did... but I did rip the gown goofing off and was all one boob out by the time he got ther

Another shot of the night before - what I want to know is, how can you get so fat and NOT know you are that fat??? I swear, I'm avoided looking at myself from the waist down for years now... I have other pictures I'll add AFTER I lose some more of this weight, lol - I need to have a side by side or I won't be able to stand looking at them!

chewable multi vitamin advice
lilith replied to Dee66's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Me, too! I use Target's brand of chewable calcium. -
I think agree with Cathy - it's not worth it! My RN explained it in a way that made a lot of sense - do you remember in science class when you took a balloon and put it on top of a soda bottle - the balloon blowed up itself from the gas in the soda (anything carbonated) - same deal with your pouch. I don't know about you but I spent too much time and money to stretch out my pouch on anything...

I always wanted to invent a pair of suspender like straps that you hooked to the top of your boobs and the other end to the top of your butt - I figured it would work as a counter weight... and no uncomfortable underwire!!!

That sounds like something that should be mentioned BEFORE you leave the hospital!

Hang in there, Love! We all go through down times, just remember life keeps moving, with or without us, so if you need some time for yourself - take it, the world will still be there when you are done and maybe something worthwhile will be going on! I personally like any excuse for a spa treatment, I know that sounds shallow but it's nice to have someone else take care of you some times!

So I had my surgery - it was an interesting day, lol. I was the first one of the morning, had to be there at 5:45am, surgery was scheduled for 7:45am - everyone was right on time, including the rash I broke out in from the antibiotic! So they had to replace that with another med and then moved alonged, I don't even really remember waking up, I remember that my first nurse out of recover had been banded and looked great! I felt sore, but not too bad. A little later my chest started to hurt from the gas build up so I went for a walk around the nurses' station, when I was finished my chest felt all better but my belly hurt. They gave me some extra pain meds which caused me to then have another allergic reaction - I looked like someone put a straightening Iron across my eyes, it was great! At that point they started giving me benadryl - I was taking the hair brush to my back!!! Man was I itchy... anyway, no pain meds for me from around 2am until 8am the next morning when my doc got there, he started me on pill form then. I couldn't stand being in the bed so I spent most of the time in a chair, I tried to sleep in my bed last night and ended up on the couch, I have to sit up to sleep. I did take a shower today, I hurt quite a bit after that... but trying to hang in and hoping it's going to be a lot better really soon! (hope, hope, hope) DH took the kids out so I could actually rest so I'm going back to resting now - I hope everyone else is doing well! Oh, btw - I did have a hiatal hernia - not sure if that is making me more sore or not...

Thank you! I can't wait to be a Bunny Bandster! I also can't wait to be knocked out so I can quit worrying about it, lol. I'm waiting for dh to get out of the shower then we actually have to drag our monsters with us, ha-ha - that's what they get for still being able to have cookies! :rolleyes2:
