Thanks Glo for the props !!! It's truly appreciated.. I'm no diff than you - just a fat chick trying to get healthy and that's what is really all about - at our and (or any age reallY) we want to prolong our lives and in order to do that we need to get healthy... This is NOT a diet - this is a lifetime lifestyle change..
Of course I'll be your mentor... I am here to help cuz in helping others I am helping myself to..
Good Job on your progress so far - it will only get better..

Just wanted to tell you that you are a blessing to me. I admire you for achieving your weight loss. I love to read your posts and also your advice to all of us. I want to one day also be able be an example like you. I was lapbanded on the 31st of December 2008, I am 54yrs young . I am on my mushy foods now. I have already lost 23 lbs. and have like 104 more to go.I feel so much better! I feel energetic and very happy to have the lapband. I was scared and had alot of emotional feelings, and i am sure everybody goes through this, but I am so glad I went ahead with it. I am looking forward to everyday now and know that tomorrow I will feel even better. I want to keep in touch with you and hope that you will be my mentor. You have done such a great job in your weight loss and I look up to you.

Hi, I just got banded on 12/31/2008. I was reading your sucess story and that is what I want to do too. I just want my fill and be able to eat the foods i like but reasonably. I admire what you have accomplished, and I too want to be like you and accomplish my weight loss. Before my 2 wk Protein diet I was weighing 257, then lost 13lbs on my surgery date. I feel I have probably lost more. I want to put be very commited to this new me, and I want to someday also be able to say my success story. I know that I made the right choice in having the Lapband and WANT to make it work. Your story inspired me and saw myself like you. God Bless you always :thumbup: -
This is my first time here. I was banded 11/17/08 i have lost 22 pounds and go for my 6 wk check up 1/6/08 I am hoping to have a fill. I am not feeling full any more and my weight loss is standing still. My head hunger is back. I am feeling guilty and having trouble seeking the Lord's help. I am thankful to have my ban and it was an 8 month journey to get here. I live too far from the support group to attend regularly so I am glad I found this site. I hope we can bless each other.

Hi Everyone, Just 3 more days for my lapband , Dec. 31st ! I am excited and nervous. I just want to get it over with and start my new life. I know it is going to turn my life around in every aspect. I know that we all go through this and wonder if it is the right thing for us. I know that it will be all worth it. I am so glad I found this site. Think positive! :confused:

Hi Everyone, I am going to be banded on Wed. the 31st. I am excited and yes, I have been feeling the same way too. I too think of the surgery and just hope that everything comes out good for us all !!! Lets keep each other in prayer, have faith and everything will go great ! Just think, by next year at this time we will be like 100 lbs. lighter ! That is really exciting. Lets just think positive !!
