I'm doing alright. Still feeling anxious, and I wasn't at all before I talked to my surgeon on Tuesday. But I know I'm in good hands, so I need to just let the worry go! This is such an awesome group of friends! I appreciate you all!
-
Hang in there!! Hope it gets better for you, soon!!

Sherrib4health---No more getting sick!!!

Yay Smiley!!!

Mmmmmmmm, looks delicious!!!!!

LOL--glad you cleared that up for us! :-) How'd your surgery go?
-
Thank you Beni--you made me feel better. :-) I did ask a couple people on here and no one has had issues. Hopefully my surgeon was just being over-cautious. It's all going to be fine!!!

My mouth was literally watering reading your post!! I'm so excited for you!!! I cannot wait to have some cottage cheese!!!!

Thanks freelyme!! I hope to report good news before your surgery next week!! :-)

Sorry you're so sore. Hope that improves quickly! I can't wait to not have that hunger.

Whoohoo Smiley!! How are you feeling?

Yay Beni!!! You're getting close!! Celebrate well tonight--and whatever you eat, eat double for me please!! I know it's going to be SO flippin long before I get real food, especially if I end up needing that feeding tube. Ugh.. I really wish my surgeon wouldn't have said anything. Now it's like there's a dark, scary cloud over me.

I don't think there's a group, but I'm from Iowa.
-
I have the one with OJ every morning. Yumm!

You're looking great Auri!! I can definitely see the difference!! I wish I would have taken pics before I started my liquid diet. I'm down 12 pounds.

Me too. My only concern is my 8yr old daughter. She'll be clingy the night before surgery and I kind of wanted to be there for her. But we could wait until after she goes to bed to head to the hotel too I guess.(my mom is going to come stay at our house with the kids) Hmmm, we'll have to see. It'll all work out I'm sure!

REVISION to Bypass
amylynns replied to lindsaybhill's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Same here. Had band in 2008, removed in Dec. 2013 and am scheduled for bypass on Monday! I met with my surgeon yesterday and he's concerned--even told me I should consider the sleeve instead of bypass because the stomach tissue could be compromised. I'm still set on the bypass, but now I'm scared. I was perfectly calm and ready to go before I talked with him. He said he's had to put a temporary feeding tube in patients like me before to give that stomach opening area a GOOD 2 weeks to heal before being introduced to any food/drink. I'm an optimist though, so I'm going in with the plan that the stomach tissue will all be fine and I won't need a feeding tube! -
That's awesome Karen!! So glad you're doing so well!

I have a bunch of points saved up I forgot about at Country Inn & Suites. We can use those, whoohoo!!

LMAO!!!

Thanks Beni. I am really confident in my surgeon, and think I'll stick with my plan of bypass. I just hope I don't die, LOL. 4:45! Can you believe it?? We're thinking of possibly staying at a hotel near the hospital. It would save us a 45 minute drive that morning, but I don't want to spend $100 on a hotel. That's on my to do list today, to look into a hotel.

Auri and Bronxmerci!! You both look amazing!!! Your son is adorable! !!!
-
Wow--Smiley, Wish mine would just agree to that! I don't want to be closed back up and have to come back later.
-
Yes, that definitely helped Auri. Thank you! I'm pretty sure I'm still going to go with bypass and pray everything is ok. As much as I hate the thought of being closed back up and having no surgery for another week or two--I'd still rather go ahead with the surgery I really want. I know for me, the "stricter" restrictions with the bypass is really what I want/need--I know what my weaknesses are, and I feel I'll get the best results with that. BUT....with that being said, IF the sleeve ends up being my only option, I'll of course do that over nothing. Tacycakes--I really do wish he'd just use his judgement, as long as I've given him permission. But he really wasn't comfortable with doing that.

He did say if I decide on the bypass and he gets in there and it's not safe to do it, he would pull out and after 12 hours, I could make the decision to go ahead with the sleeve. I'd have to wait until an OR appointment opened up again though. (1 or 2 weeks) But he couldn't do the sleeve the same day...
