    Hello to all

Thanks for your nice words and keep positive. It was the first time I had ever been put to sleep and through prayer I did not need any meds before the surgery other than some nausea meds due to not having anything in my tummy which makes me sick feeling. So pray and if you feel this is what you should do; do it and trust that God will get you through it. I tell everyone to do it to change their lives and get healthier. I am off blood pressure meds and cholesterol meds, praise God for lap band. Right after surgery maybe the first couple of months I was off of some of my other meds. I started out taking 9 and now I am down to four which I will continue with these because its asthma and allergy meds. But good bye to everything else. God bless you and keep us updated, Dana

Thanks so much. Do you know if an ice pack or advil would help reduce the swelling faster?
  6. I wore my underwire home from the surgery center but hey it came off as soon as I got home. It did bother me pressure mainly. You might get a bra shirt which I love them and wear them alot or a sports bra. They are cheap enough and you might not want to go out shopping right after surgery; also get a heating pad and an ice pack. I left the surgery center with one but found the old fashion refillable one was the best and never leaked. The heating pad prevented the shouldher pain they say can happen I used it and never had it. The ice pack over the port worked great for pain and swelling. I also took the nausea med and pain med scheduled for the first few days and never had a problem with that either. I did get a little nauseated when I got home and took the meds along with a cool washcloth on my forehead helped ease the feeling while sitting in front of a fan. Also I am short and my bed was tall so a step stool for ease of getting in and out of bed was very helpful. I am excited for you and hope this helps : ) Be blessed, Dana
  7. Hey sorry, I posted a question on the intro site; new to this, lol. Okay I had lapband last November and am loving it. I have lost about 41 lbs now should have lost more but had a little problem finding a fill location that was in network with my insurance, along with looking for a house so I got behind four months no big deal. So look for your fill place before surgery so you do not have this problem. Be blessed, Dana

    Medifast blues

I had to do shakes with meals but just to shrink my liver and only for two weeks. I did find alternating flavors and a co-worker said adding ice to make it more like a frozen shake helps along with adding fruit; if allowed. You can do and it will be worth it. Keep going and God does answer prayers and you are in mine. I pray you have the will power to get through this and the time goes by fast for you. I believe in you and will continue to pray for you. YOU CAN DO IT!
  9. Hello all, I am new to this site and just got my fourth fill and it seems like I can not do much but sip water, very little of that or I throw up. Should I get it undone as none of the other fills did this? Is it okay to wait until the morning? I guess I should call my doctor and ask them. Any help would be appreciated.
