Protein Supplement shakes... any suggestions?
Willowglen replied to razberry*kisses's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I go to The Viatamin Shoppe and buy the whey isolate protein powder. They have a wide selection of flavors. I mix the poder with non fat milf in my Bullet. When I need to take a shake with me, I but either Lean Body or Muscle Mildk also available in flavors at The Viatamin Shoppe:smile: -
I bought some baby food and was not able to eat it because of the taste. I know why babies dont want to eat that crap. I ate applesauce, soups, squash and cottage cheese it the mushy stage:smile:

I am really frustrated at the fill process, I went in at 3 weeks for my first fill and left thinking I got a fill, when I came back 2 weeks later for my second fill I was told that the first was unsuccessful. This time she poked and prodded and said she couldnt find it. I met with the doctor a couple of weeks later and he said it could be because of scare tissue etc, he couldnt find the port and rescheduled me for 4 weeks later stating they would use ultrasound to find the port. Today I went for a fill and they disnt use ultrasound recause they say they can feel it, I could feel it since surgey, after a couple of pokes she said I got it at a angle and put in 2cc. She disapperaed quickly and I dont feel any different. How would I know if I was really filled or they are playing games? It makes me very nervous that the doctors assistance doesnt want to take time and talk to me, she is always in a big hurry. They have me scheduled back in 3 weeks for another fill.

The port area was not knumbed and I was not asked to sip water which leaves me to believe that nothing was put in:angry_smile:

After eating and exercising for over 30 days, it then becomes habit and you really dont crave the bad foods anymore:smile:

Willowglen replied to Denee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was only able to sleep on my back for about a week, now I can sleep in any position with no discomfort:smile: -
I make my own shakes morning and evening with powder but take Muscle Milk to work for lunch. I like the Bannana Creme, I also use Lean Body liquid shakes, they are tasty too:smile:

I would do the following Change the time you eat and what you eat Drop your carb intake Up your protein intake up your water consumption up your exercise to a minimum of 30 minutes a day I was banded 8/28 and have already lost 50:smile:

I was using the Flintstones chewables but now changed to Bariactric Fusion. Viatamins, calcium and B12 all in one pill. Your choice of orange or berry

Willowglen replied to MissWilde's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wont miss: Not being able to latch the seatbelt on an airplane People not wanting to sit next to the "Fat Guy" on a plane People watching to see how much food a fat person consumes Being able to be on a beach or pool without the stares Being able to shop for clothes and have sizes that actually fit in a store Not having"assholes" pat you on the stomach as a greeting Not having "assholes" badger you about the weight -
How were they able to mauallly flip it back?

I am 8 weeks post op today and down 45#. I am somewhat discouraged as I havent had a fill yet. There have been 3 attempts for a fill and they couldnt find the port. I go in on Nov. 10 for the 4th attempt. I do not feel any restriction and believe my weight would be more with a restriction. I have been very regimented in watching what I eat and exercising.

5 in 1 blender or magic bullet
Willowglen replied to NEWME2008's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can get the Magic Bullet for about $50.00 with a coupon at Bed Bath & Beyond. I use it to make my protein shakes daily and love it. I occasionally add a banana or berries. I am using it 2-3 times every day
