I feel the same way. Have had lap band for a year and only lost little over 30 pounds. Very dissapointed in myself. -

I am right there in the same boat with you. I been banded since July 24, 2008 and I have lost 17lbs. Since my last fill almost a month ago I haven't lost anymore. I actually think I was doing better before my last fill. I am so nervous to go back to the dr to weigh this time. I go a week from tomorrow. I can eat. I have to eat a little slower or i get a little choked sometimes but thats it. I know I eat from mentally telling myself I'm hungry. BUT...that was why I ate anyway. I'm really having to try. Purposely eating more slowly is helping me. Although I have bit my jaw more times than I care to count because of all the chewing. Good luck and please let me know if you come out of your slump. Our situations sound very similar and I went to this sight for some help! Thanks. -
Yes. I had surgery 2 months ago. July 24. I love love it. I have had two adjustments already and was so worried it would hurt to access the port but there was no pain at all. My weight loss has slowed though this month and I am having trouble swallowing sometimes. It's not easy. I still really have to try. I'm still addicted to food. I am having to overcome that and make good choices for myself. Keeping good company and supportive friends helps. I just have to stand up and say I'm not eating. I feel well and the recovery time was really short. Hope you do well. I think this forum is great. I should have been doing this the whole time.
