I hope all went well for you. How are you doing so far?

As nurses I believe it takes a greater leap of faith to undergo any invasive procedure. I am an RN Quality Manager in Florida. Currently I am in the pre-op preparation stages of jumping the insurance hoops. I hope to have an approval soon. My surgeon too tries to lean patients toward bypass, stating it is the "Gold Standard"--(plus more lucrative). New studies are now showing long term success with the band equals bypass after 5-7 years. I plan to be around a good long while, so the band makes more sense to me personally.

I'm so glad to find others from "my tribe".

Good choice I have also seen many with problems after gastic bypass, hope all goes great for you hope to hear from you soon
