  1. But I only have 1 cc left! My doctor did an EGD to make sure there was not erosion and it looked fine on the inside. I can eat anything I want without any problem, but about an hour after I eat I have chest pain and feel very bloated in the chest cavity, not my belly - even to the point that my bra gets too tight. I am so frustrated. I was 10 pounds away from my goal with the first band and have now gained about 25 lbs back.
  2. I am almost 2 years post-op from my 2nd nad (first one slipped). I have 13 mls in my band and still have no restriction. I constantly feel bloated in my chest cavity, but my doctor says this is not due to the band. My first band was a 6 ml band. This one is a 14 ml band. Has anyone had issues like this?
  3. I had my band replaced after a slippage. I am now at 11cc's. My doctor says he has never filled one this much. The band isn't working for me this time and I am very discouraged. Has anyone had their band unfilled and refilled? And if so, did it help? Thanks!
  4. I had a slip a little over 3 years from my surgery. I had to have my band replaced. I was very successful with the first band, but have gained 20 pounds back since having the band replaced. My second band was placed August of 2010 and I am at 11 cc in a 14 cc band. This past week is the first time since the surgery I have felt any restriction at all and it is not a great lot. My Doctor said he had never had to place that much fluid in one. I don't know what the difference is, but it certainly doesn't feel like the first time. I was only about 10 pounds from my goal weight when I had the second surgery, but I am now 30 lbs. I know every situation is different and I hope you have success. I would just encourage you to ask lots of questions.
  5. Does anyone have problems with sweating after eating?
  6. I had my first lap band in January of 2007 and lost 70 lbs. I kept a steady weight until March of 2010. At this time, I had my fluid removed to have a scope done. When I went back in to have the band tightened, I had problems. I couldn't even keep water down. I had the fluid removed and the doctor ordered an upper GI. I had a slippage and had the band replaced in August of this year. Since having the band replaced I have gained 20 pounds and feel no restriction. I never feel full, but I often have pain across my back. Sometimes I feel like my chest cavity is expanding (my bra gets too tight ), but I don't feel like my stomach is full. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? It is very frustrating since I had such success with the first one. I feel like my doctor is not taking me seriously, but I know it doesn't feel like it did before. I am self pay (twice) and can't afford to have it done again.
