Susan, for me personally, though I don't LIKE that HH is gone, I understand how the decision was reached. I don't understand how Donna was allowed to slide -- which makes it look like a one-sided thing -- but whatever. What I have an issue with now is the deletion of posts here for no apparent good reason. It just reeks of heavy handedness. I've BEEN a mod, so I understand. And as a mod, when things got too overwhelming -- in life and/or on the board(s) I was moderating, I took a break from it. Otherwise I too would get too emotionally involved in the issue and react out of emotion rather than legitimacy. Just a thought.

Wow, and just think -- we may ALL get handled that way if you-know-who gets his way. :tt1:

It doesn't sit well with most. I would venture to say that a slightly snarky (not saying Glouc's post was cuz, let's face it, it's gone) or controversial post causes less upset than a mod overstepping their bounds and pulling posts at will. Being a mod before, I can attest to that. And being a member, I can doubly attest to that. It fosters a feeling of distrust for the mod(s), the site, and gets more people angered at the heavy-handedness of whoever did it. ESPECIALLY if it wasn't the type of post that broke the rules and/or was a warnable offense.

My question is, is the deletion of posts at a single mod's pleasure, or is there discussion and input from other mods as to whether a post should be pulled, kind of like how it's supposedly done when warning or banning people? Personally, if a mod is able to just pull posts willy-nilly, it CAN be abused and may have been in this case. Very wrong, IMO.

I second that. The thing I like most about Plain is he doesn't let his emotions take over. His egotistical narcissism, yes, but not his emotions.

Wait, WTH is going on? Seriously? If that really happened (and I don't know who), I think that person should no longer be a mod. They are now stepping over the line and getting too emotionally invested in this stuff to make valid, legitimate arguments for how they make their decisions. If a mod is getting personal (attacking others on FB OR has a hard-on for a certain individual), I believe they should step down.

Or would that be unethical on the doctor's part and illegal? I mean, if you were willing and able to be self-pay, it would mean less money out of pocket for you and he would get his full fee. Then again, I would guess that a doctor who takes Medicare has to have some sort of account set up... so I guess I'm just pullin' stuff outta my ass. :blushing:

Omg, have you done one yet? I don't know overall what I've lost because I took a vote and people said not to, BUT just in the last TWO DAYS ALONE I've lost FOUR POUNDS! Yesterday was 1/2 pound, and this morning, a whopping 3 1/2 pounds!!!!!! :mad: I had to get on the scale twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke! NEW LOW for me! As a matter of fact, as soon as I hit post, I'ma gonna update mah ticker!!!
