You musta gotten a good sale there, Lu! I called my local Dick's, and they have them -- but NOT on sale. They're $100. HOWEVER, I'm going to go in and take them the Famous Footwear coupon and ask the manager of Dick's if they will honor the 20% off. If they say no, I will order them through FF and just wait. Won't cost me anything to have them shipped, and they'll come right to the door.

Okay, getting me some Dicks tomorrow. Wait... I checked out their sale flier from this past Sunday and there were no Sketchers there, so I didn't even try them.

I don't know the calorie count of your average popsicle, but a brand here called Edy's makes a fruit pop that they claim has no added sugar that is TO DIE FOR! They're 30 calories a piece, and totally worth it!

For me, I didn't feel that either WW or OA helped ME personally to get to the bottom of WHY I got this way -- or even how to help redirect my energies in tackling new issues as they arise in ways that don't include food. They're great organizations, don't get me wrong, but I knew I needed more one-on-one to help me get deeper than WW or OA would ever afford me. I know myself too well. The GOOD thing is, even though things have been really stressful here lately, if anything I've NOT been hungry. Pretty much since I got back from Houston, I virtually eat nothing until dinnertime. I know that's not good either, but I haven't been very hungry. However, the scale has not been moving, and that's getting me down lately. I've been very good (not perfect, but VERY good) this past month -- logging meals, exercising, etc., and I have nothing to show for it. I don't know wth is wrong... :thumbup: Okay, did you get the only frikken farken pair out there?? Sketchers doesn't have them, went to Famous Footwear which carries Sketchers, and the two nearest places I could get them is in Maryland or Pennsylvania. Kohl's was a no-go too. I'm getting ticked now because I want something I can't have. :huh2: If I can't find them nearby in the next couple days, I'll order them through Famous Footwear since I have a 20% off coupon, which would make them a "more reasonable" $80. :wink2: But... I hafta wait. And I don't wait too well. Oh, and my butt still hurts. OUCH!

Government Suspends 'Clunkers' Program At Current Rate, Giving Out $3,500 Or $4,500 Per Vehicle Would Burn Through $1 Billion Allocated In No Time "Cash for Clunkers" came to a screeching halt Thursday, after only six days on the road. In a shocker, the government announced it would suspend the program at midnight because demand was too great. It may have been the best $1 billion the government has spent so far this year. Business was humming at Crestmont Toyota/Volkswagen Thursday night as salespeople rushed back to work on news that the government's "Cash for Clunkers" program was being suspended. It's the deal where you get up to $4,500 for your older low mileage beast if you buy a new car with more efficient fuel consumption. On Thursday night we learned the program was only good until midnight, all because of a backlog of red tape. So the salespeople were trying to get their deals through the government's Web site. "People are loving it. It's wonderful. It's a great stimulus package," salesman Andy Beloff said. But when asked if the government was running the program well, Beloff said, "No. No." The dealership's lot had roughly 40 clunkers waiting to be shipped to the junkyard. Each one has already been replaced by a brand new lower mileage car. The program only started last Friday. It's a victim of its own success. But the money may be running out faster than anyone imagined. With almost 23,000 deals already processed and tens of thousands more in the pipeline, it's possible the $1 billion allocated for the program might have already run out and into the pockets of people like Christie Acosta, who knew a good deal when she saw one. "I had a 1987 Ford Explorer. We had it for a while and I was ready to get rid of it," Acosta said. For the economy it's good news, but the government's miscalculation has some a little nervous. "These are just the deals we have to submit tonight," Crestmont president Bill Strauss said while holding a stack of papers. He said the dealership has over $100,000 on the table. "If they can't administer a program like this, I'd be a little concerned about my health insurance," car salesman Rob Bojaryn said. The "Clunkers" program was being administered by the National Highway Safety Administration, which has seemed overwhelmed from the get-go. Some in Congress are expected to push for expansion of the $1 billion budget on Friday. If you have a "Clunkers" deal in the works, don't worry. The government said Thursday any transactions already made between dealers and consumers will be honored. Diva: WW or any support is great to go along with the band if you need it. I tried them and OA, but decided to go to an eating disorder therapist. Have my second meeting with her on Thursday. Sketchers Shape Ups... weird. I went to a Sketchers store here in town and they don't even have them! Not that they're sold out, they simply don't have them. Weird.
