Because of the tax burden AND the rising cost of everyday things, the church coffers are drying up. food pantries are going without. In a country where over 50 percent of all my money goes to pay some form of tax, I wouldn't use the word "blessed" to describe it. "Screwed" is more like it. I'm about to say enough is enough.

The campaigning has been tough for both men, but Sky News' Robert Nisbet, who has been following the McCain bandwagon, says the toll is beginning to show on the older man. Omg, that's so horrible! Heck, I wanna send you gas money now! So... the sister who owes you all this money can find the money to pay for a personal trainer?? Wow... guess that's more important than the gas in her house. I'd say if you want to go to the wedding, go without the freeloader. First, she needs to start taking care of herself. Personal responsibility isn't learned if people keep bailing her out. Second, why should you wait around for hours for her? Either she gets off work early and leaves when YOU are ready or she finds her own way up. Period. -

Here is what I think NEEDS to happen -- and it was thought of for us over 200 years ago: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. YAAAY Dennis Miller! Comedian Dennis Miller was on Jay Leno's show on Oct. 3rd, and he was really funny. He was asked by Jay who he favors in the election, and here are excerpts from his response... 'I'm voting for McCain. People need to understand that all of Hollywood is not for Obama, and anyone who served their country in a Vietnam prison as a prisoner for 5 years deserves my vote. (Huge applause) Hey, he gave us 5 years, I'm willing to give him 4 back. I don't like the fact that Obama has played his color card all by himself. He said, 'People might not vote for me because my name sounds funny.' McCain and his people have never gone there. Obama playing that card turns me off. I'm not worried about the color of his skin. I'm worried about the thickness. Quite frankly, he get a little too whiney. (Huge applause) And his wife... She is a bad night. If she were barking in my ear while I was driving, I'd take a sharp left and go off the cliff. Barack missed the boat when he didn't pick Hillary, and I'm no Hillary fan. But quite frankly, she earned to be picked, and I believe the American women can relate to her. She has been cheated on more often than a blind woman playing scrabble with a bunch of gypsies. Sarah Pallin isn't perfect, but I don't want her to be perfect. We've had smart people as vice presidents before. Nixon was smart, and he turned out to be a nightmare. Gore was smart, but I never got him. I want someone normal as VP who is like me. People say McCain may die after being elected. Hey, everyone knows Barack smokes, and look at what the actuarial tables say about a 47 year old smoker. He dies, we get Biden, and he's as old as McCain. He dies, and we get Nancy Pelosi, and then I'm leaving the galaxy.' Amen, Dennis!

Actually, I'm all for nuking the entire place to the ground so that we can start over. Like that's ever gonna happen... :rolleyes2: Not saying that voting McCain would guarantee these types of cuts, but it doesn't mean they are any less necessary.

If this is meant for me, I never said that either candidate is inciting hatred. It's the followers, especially the left-wing fringe, who are as intolerant and hate-filled as islamofascist terrorists. I really see no difference. Just to clarify, I have purposely said left-wing fringe. If one is an average or moderate liberal, it does not apply. However, I still don't understand wanting MORE government and MORE taxes. That just boggles the mind. -
See? We agree again. I too say we need to keep the money here. Giving our money to other countries is no smarter than taking from my family to "spread the wealth" even in my country. And I disagree with Obama's scalpel theory. We are hemhorraging money right now. The time for scalpel cutting passed us by many years ago. MANY years ago. It's time to chop out the unnecessaries and try to keep the body alive. And it needs to be done much more aggressively than any scalpel job will ever do, I believe. :rolleyes2:

For me, other than message boards, I don't talk politics with anybody. They could be any form or fashion and I wouldn't really know or care. My boss, I know, is liberal, and I only know this because she came bounding in and singing about how she just voted for Obama. :rolleyes2: She has tried to pull me into conversations about who I will vote for, and I just won't go there. -

You are right, there IS bad on both sides. Never inferred that there wasn't. I am as much against the talk your mom has heard as I am against the stuff I hear spewed from the left. But what I've seen over the years is an increasing vileness and hatred coming from more and more from the left fringe that, to be honest, I can't separate them from the islamofascist terrorists out there. Both are dead set in bringing down and destroying those they disagree with.
