I hate it when people post just to post.....

It sounds like it, but it was REALLY soothing. Warm water, the solution in it didn't burn (but DID dry after it was over though not in a bad way), and then it was done. -

Sounds like just what you need, then. It's a warm water lavage which washes it all out. That's what's so great about it... it literally flushes the nasal passages. Okay, now I sound like I I work for the company. -

The pot and how it's used sounds very weird, but after one use, I'm sold. You lean your head over to one side and pour in the other nostril, so it just runs through the sinuses. The thought of pouring water up your nose sounds horrible, but I did it without a problem. I was draining SO bad before, but I swear, I haven't drained at ALL since I did it. I actually slept last night, though I did wake up coughing a few times. As miserable as I was, I would have done ANYthing to make it stop, and stop it did. -

It was a bit strange, but it really wasn't bad at all. -
Cool, I learned something today.

'Course with all these snafus lately, she could be DOH-prah.

That's the one. I got mine at Rite Aid, but it sounds like Walgreens or other drug store, and hubby thinks he saw one at the local grocery store chain. Seems they're easy enough to find. It sounds weird to do it, but I had no problems. It's pretty interesting. And the stuff you put in it seemed to dry me up nicely. Apparently a lot of people use it daily or regularly when they're not sick. I will likely do that since I am prone to upper respitory issues. -
Even if she took NO stance on her show. I don't care what she thinks about it personally, but she doesn't have to berate it in front of millions. Could she have enough sway that that is part of the reason some of us feel we have something to be ashamed of which keeps some of us from telling people? I think so...

It does seem to work out that way, true. lol Like watching a train wreck in slo-mo. Kinda fun. I ought to make some popcorn. -
I never watch her either so I would be curious to know what she does too. I remember she brought on the first guy that duped her and was all pissed at him, but I guess she needed to to save face because people were a little miffed with her. And now here is round two.

I dunno, tap, do they do that? Not questioning you, just honestly never thought of them verifying whether a story is true as being something they do. What I found funny was the irony that Doperah got burned again after having it happen once before.

Yeah, I'm wondering now if they really went in thinking they got lap-bands but got lobotomies instead. I mean, they both start with an L, right? Very MUCH so yay you!! -

I know... once I would get into the groove of it, it DID feel good. What's so sad is this: I bought all new Richard Simmons workout dvd's (apparently my entire box of videocassettes, most of were my workout ones, never made it here in the move ), and they have been coming in while I've been sick (no working out when I feel like this or I relapse worse). So I really WANT to start my affair with Richard again. But you know when that burning yearning will end? About five minutes after I feel good. -

Not quite "there" yet, but yes, QUITE a bit better! I don't know if it was the Z-pack or the NetiPot, but because my wanna-be-doctor nurse practitioner doesn't know what she's talking about, I'm inclined to give the NetiPot all the credit. Although I did wake up hacking and coughing at times through the night, I did NOT have the horrible drainage issues after using the pot like I did prior to it. So YAY NETI! -

Okay, even though I'm not doing a kick-start (doing the five-day after-fill thingy), I'm down TWO POUNDS since yesterday! Lookie, I made a mini goal!! -
6 days post op and hardly able to eat...help!
BethFromVA replied to teacherica's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Exactly. If somebody can't make it four days, maybe they should have been more committed to this and/or been honest in their psych eval or gotten therapy first. But hey, what do I know? I'm supposed to be on the AWWW Bandwagon. -

It's the ones who look for acceptance after doing something stupid that is the issue. Okay, I'll play: That's GREAT that you can have a Meximelt four days after surgery and that your stoma is so swollen and distended that it takes two hours to eat it -- and you DID it! It's a shame the doctors don't know what they're talking about because you can easily wash down Meximelts, chicken fried steaks, and Whoppers with big, yummy milkshakes as well. And top it off with a Death by chocolate dessert. I'm sure that everything is fine and everybody should do it. I'm very proud of the tenacity it took to attack that Meximelt head on and show it who's boss. Now let's go get us a thick crust double meatsa pizza and make friends. Better? -
Yeah, that's kinda long. I had my surgery the day after yours and I got my first fill today. I find (for me) that a warm mug of low-sodium chicken broth during those hungrier times between meals can help. I think it's something about the warmth and the savory flavor. As for the constipation, good ol' veggies or salad. Some fibers can stetch the pouch, most specifically the tablet form. I don't know about powder like Metamucil, but I was using Benefiber in my water or soup. No taste or texture.

*raises hand* Yup, that's me. Hell, I'd get nekked in my doctor's office if... okay, that day will likely come. I have no shame. -

Just ask his mom. She probably tells him he spells "grammer" correctly. It makes him feel good. No red marks for him, nosirree.
