I had salad for dinner, just plain ol' spring mix with soy bacon bits & some shredded cheese. I was going to make me a gardenburger salad - like a cheeseburger salad but veggie - except I at the rest of that btofunso already had my protein servings! So that and then salad a bit before 6, I had just had an iced soy latte so my cals are right over 1,000 today, and I have only walked 7 miles so I should be good! I was whining about gaining 2 or 3 lbs overnight to my son, he is in pharmacy tech schhol and he says that my liver can easily gain 3 lbs. in 1 day if I am used to no carbs, no alcohol and then I go out & party with a bunch of carbs & sweet drinks, like yesterday's luau (he was with me) and as soon as I shrink my liver back down the weight will be gone too! No carbs no alchohol, I was haing those ultra lights (poured over ice to get rid of carbonation of course) they only have like 74 calories and 2 carbs, but aparrently since they do still have alcohol in them they still swell the liver. Live and learn! Straight (diet) cranberry juice for me from now on

B - Decaf americano + 1 cup sliced strawberries (not full) L - 4 oz. tofu + 1/3 cup yellow lentils (full - but that's a lot of dense food!) My food log says 328 cals, 23 g. protein so far. . . pedometer says 428 cals burned so far. I wanted to have some sliced red pepper & hummus for lunch too, but I ate too much of the tofu & stuffed myself! I think I need to add weights back to my routine - it's been almost a month, and the losing has stopped so that should tell me something!

I dont get it either nicole! Maybe I need new batteries . . ;. more likely tho I need to watch my sodium intake, now that I am off of blood pressure meds i seem to be super sensitive to sodium again - if I go over 2000 in 1 day i will have a problem with water retention, and looking back i have been at 2500 to 3000 oer day, yikes! Oh well it is water weight and I should lose it fast too, LOL

Oh I just found the YUMMIEST protein, I know you guys dont go in for the tofu but hear me out! Its called more than tofu and its by sunergie soyfoods Sunergia Soyfoods - Seasoned Tofu and Cheese Alternatives I just got the Peanut & Ginger flavor from Raleys and I think I just ate 1/2 the package, raw right from the bag! It isn't just flavored like most seasoned tofus; it has peanuts and quinoa and ginger etc. throughout the whole thing! Flavor, great chewiness - not the tofu texture, at all! I am in love :-) and only 2 net carbs!!! 8 g. protein 90 cals per 2 oz serving

Frustrated this morning - I woke up weighing 197!! That's a 2 lb. GAIN, dagnabit!!!! I must be really, really due for a drop . . . .

OMG girls, 202 pages! I don't think I have caught up yet! Saw the group pic though; Reggie you are HOT girl! You have lost a load of weight since I saw you last!!!! Just got back from a luau where I probably ate and drank too much, but it was TEENY portions of quite a few things . . I was not hungry, but it was a party and there was stuff there, so I ate it! Bad bad bad. But a girlfriend and I had spent the day hiking the Bill Kortum trail all along the Sonoma Coast, we did some of it down on the beach in the sand and OOWWW I am SO sore now! Sand is HARD! But it was SO beautiful, we should do it as a group sometime! I love love love the ocean. The Petaluma walk, new trail does not open until the end of July but we can do the coast walk before if you want! I am game any, any, ANY time for a good walk, you girls know that! After all my hard work 10-15 miles a day every day last week I was only down .4 lbs. for the whole week - VERY DISSAPOINTING! But what are I going to do, it's not like I can turn the burners up any higher! My son watched me eat more cinese food than he did 2 nights ago and said mom, I think you ned more fluid in your band, LOL . . I think he may be right, my restriction is gone except in the AM. Just cant get over that pic, you girls are beautiful!!! I am going to try and get in on the 25th I think, I miss you guys!!

Absolutely Tina! And it's hard to put up with guys who don't realize how perfect we really are . . . LOL, I know I am too picky, and I know relationships involve sacrifices, and right now I'm not willing to make them! Right now, it is all about ME - for the first time EVER - and it feels really, really good! I'm not giving this up!

You guys are cracking me up! Dollar in the traveling pants - I really like that idea! You can write, "good luck on your journey! from Richmond Kaiser @lapbandtalk.com" or something like that, on the bill, and leave it in the next pocket! Pay it forward, LOL did anyone see that movie? OMG. . . Relationships yucko. I have been divorced for 10 years and have put my kids through 2 crappy men since. I swore them off after the last one - 5 years ago - and have let no one around them since. We were all much happier! But now the kids are older and I thought well it's time, started looking again and get plenty of attention now, but then I justy hate not feeling like I can be myself! I have a gazillion friends of both genders and we are out having a good time - GREAT time - most weekends, I just want to have fun with my friends and not worry about what some guy I am "seeing" is thinking of me or if I am giving him enough attention or if I am pissing him off or - WHATEVER. I am too independent, I love being me and having fun, and that's not going to change! If it happends that i meet the right one who can deal with that fine, but I'm done looking. Until I'm like ready to retire, then I'll settle down LOL Just got in from another darned hike, hey only 13 miles today aren't you girls proud that I am taking it easy?? No food after 6 for the 2nd night in a row!!! Yay!!! Oops now I feel hungry just typing that!

Hey Maria, welcome back! You will lose another 10 easy before your Dr. Baggs appt. at month's end - and you will be fast-tracked! They love us :-) Tina are you feeling any better yet? I watch the Hallmark channell when I get sick, helps me sleep on and off all day LOL . . last time I was sick they were playing a day-long marathon of "Roseanne" you call fall asleep and not miss anything, since they were pretty much all the same! I like Cosby show best tho :-) D - 2 cups spring mix with 1 egg and 2 tbsps. parmesan YES that is a LOT of food, and I am STUFFED but it has to last me! I need to have a soy milk with 1/2 serving of soy protein powder still today to get my 900 cals (I excercise too much to go lower!) and 60 g of protein in . . too stuffed for it now, so looks like it will be a snack before bed. Not sure if I'm going to go work out & swim tonight or not . . . feeling like laying in bed reading a book!

Tina poor baby! I thought you must be sleeping . . .I am too tight when I wake from a nap. So go on liquids for the day, so what? You're sick! I would make you a nice decaf soy chai if I was there :-(

Ha! candra, my vitamin = 1 flintstones complete. I get over 100% of my calcium from soy milk, so I don't even take them - just a flintstones! Walking in the AM is how I energize for the day :-) I used to take a lot more stuff, some of it was kinda speedy I loved it at the time but frankly, I have more energy overall without any of it. Atenolol, hydrochlorothiazide, concerta, wellbutrin . . . . the last 2 were definately speedy for me! Kinda miss the wellburtin, but not the rest of it. Oh and I got more energy when I cut out caffeine, I found out it actually stimulated my appetite, that is how I lost the last 13 lbs. pre-op - gave up coffee! I have an occasional cup accidently now, and I am SO wired I feel like I'm going to DIE

yeah me Candra, I'm supposed to be working . . but I am on the incoming phone line for an hour, and it's not ringin', so I'm typin'!!! I know I said I was gonna take it easy today but I have 7.4 miles already . . jeez I just can't stop!

I agree with Reggie, Candra, you are there your scale just doesn't know it yet! Knock some sense into that thing . . . . better yet, make it have the chat with Heather's scale! Mine needs to be at that group scale chat, too.

Hiya Pam! I got my first couple bites of apricot stuck this morning too - it was a big one, reminded me of a peach! and almost PB'ed right here at work. I skinned it and tried again and it went down just fine! Good thing, too, cause I love them . . but it was the only fruit with a "skin" that I have dared to try. Next time I will either peel it first, or be WAY more careful about chewing it . . it was so juicey, how could I possiblky have a problem?? But I did! Sounds like you have great restriction right now, congrats! You waited a long time for it :-)

I started noticing at 60 lbs down - when I had lost 2 of my chins, LOL - but am just now feeling "normal" at almost 90 down. Going clothes shopping for 12/14s and M/L really helped me feel normal. I like the mirror now, but I still don't like myself in photos! -

Nicole, that's what I was thinking too! I am down 7 from the fill right now, that may be too much in just 2 weeks . . . so my plan is to wait until about the 20th, then emailhim and tell him that I WAS down 10, but now I am re-gaining weight and need a fill again. He said I could call for one if I started to regain! It is my pattern you see. . . but he has also told me that I am far enough out and have lost enough weight that I do not need to be coming in every month for a fill anymore. Gotta lose to get one, but you ca'nt get one if you lose too well . . .

Yucko Tina, feel better hunny! Lots of fluids . . . . even though you will want salt, not so LOL . . . Heather, so happy about your scale! Maybe your scale can have a chat with my scale about how to behave to keep us motivated?!? YOU GO GIRL!!
