Glad your feeling better with the new port...i think mine shifted and they have a hard time finding it...i may give it one more try but if it isn't easier and less painful i'll insist on an evaluation of some type. Thanks Babbs.

Hi...the 5 day pouch diet seems like a kick start plan 1) liquid proteins for 2 days...like shakes ,broth ,soup,sf pudding etc. 2) day 3: soft protein like tuna , eggs, fish (all you can eat comfortably in 15 minutes) 3)Day 4 : turkey ,chicken ,fish. same as above 4)Day 5 : all types of meats, fish same as above. no drinking while eating...no snacking etc. worth a try..

  9. I ended up at dr's office due to sudden soreness and discomfort around port area deep in tissue. No redness or swelling externally....anyone else experience this? Dr couldn't feel or see anything wrong if it persists he will do scan. Feels like i tore something but i haven't done anything strenuous or lifted heavy objects .....any ideas? thanks.:cursing:

    pressure on left side

I'm 42 days out but i do recall that exact feeling don't worry unless it becomes painful then tell your dr. good luck.
  11. I'm 42 days out and had lost 15 lbs in 3weeks but am loosing and gaining the same 5 lbs since...no change in calories and maintaining exercise...what is this about? I've read many opinions about weight gain but if one is eating less than 1200 calories and exercising then one should lose wt. banded or not?!!! hope the fills make things more consistent and clear..puzzled right now..i am moving foward and just keeping with the program....come this far. Want to love the band:redface:
  12. Hi , i was banded 9/22...my dr strongly recommends not eating anything for 3 wks...just liquids..puree to start 21 days into for a week...then mushies for a week then regular food...i'm so jealous that you can...but i have to follow orders ....i'm scared not too. he says it could damage the band sutures by the movement of the digestion process and you won't feel that right away but down the line it could mess things up. Take care and good luck.

Any One look ready to deliver?

Firstly, i find it very disturbing that your surgeon would look at you in any way but compassionate and helpful! You have made a very difficult and wonderful decision and no one should be telling you such things....don't worry about plastic surgery or post op exercise right now...1st things 1st! Your beautiful on the way to being a healthier...you. good luck.

    Hunger

Hello, yes.....very much so....probably the first time in a long time! i always ate before i got hungry...not able to do that now so it's very stressful and painful physically and mentally...but this is for my own good and to have a better life so i'm sticking too it if it kills me! i'm also easily irritable but i have 2wks left on liquids then mushies then regular food. time passes no matter what so i have to relax and keep busy...good luck and your not alone.
