    39 pounds in 3 weeks

    Hey sandi, I lost almost 50 pounds my first month post-op. Cant recall the exact numer, 46ish or something. I still dont know How I did it. Lol. I think it had to do with high blood pressure and how swollen I was due to the sodium and water retention. Just a guess. Keep up the good work!

    Hi Cheryl, Turn your frown upside down, as you have great courage and strength!! You can do this! We all need help, some more thenothers, but we are here to help!!!! Alright, I recently began tracking my calories. That really does help! You become aware as to what foods your eating, nutritional values and the amount of food your consuming. A lot of people use this site to track down their calories Calorie Counter, Diet Tracking, Food Journal, Nutrition Facts at The Daily Plate Is really important to begin to exercise, it doesnt have to be a 6 days a week at the gym kinda-thing. You could walk around your local park, swim, ride your bike, every bit helps. However, if you really want to shed the pounds cardio exercises are a must and will help you lose weight faster and help improve your cardivascular system. I have no secret recipe, we are all different. I bust my behind at the gym to get where I am at and it has been worth it. Ive made a lifestyle change, no more high blood pressure, feeling out of breath, feeling depressed, feeling worthless, feeling invisible, and no more feeling sorry about myself. Most of all, I no longer have the need to hide my feelings by eating two boxes of pizza and 20 piece buffalo wings. The day of surgery, I asked myself "why are you obese?" I said "because you eat to hide your feelings, you eat to escape, you eat ebecause you get a high/rush when ever you taste ice cream, I eat because I am addicted". It may seem cliche, but thats the day I said, enough is enough, is time to live!! That is the day I decided to committ myself to myself. I think we all have to question in deep thought, why we became overweight. Then we can release the hounds and work with improving our inner being. Then we are able to work on our health.

    Friday Weigh-in

    Happy Good Friday!!! Alright, I woke up today and hit 191, that means I have lost 100 Pounds!!!!! I love my band and Mr. Elleptical!! I wish everyone continued success, we can do this.

  6. Your new bday is comign soon!!!!! I know you must be excited!!!!! The only advice I can give you, is follow the rules, eat healthy, and introduce yourself to Mr elleptical on high resistances, thats what worked for me!!! lol

    Exercise Obsession

    I am on the same boat, for so me reason my body indeed responded very well to the liquid diet, i lost 40 something pounds, a month post-op. The rest I owe to my gym training and my husband aka the elleptical machine from hell!!! I eat healthier, no sugar, soda, fast food, fried food, greasy food, none of the evil foods lol.

    Libby you are doing amazingly great!!! I totally agree with my fellow October Bandster, do not punish your body. I am also obsessed with the gym and dont feel right If I dont go at least 6 times per week! Bearbandit! you are doing great! We have lsot about the same amount of pounds!

  16. Well people are actually treating me nicely especially the boys. People open doros for me, say thank you more often. I think is amazing how people treat you when you are obese. I was called big girls a few times and that hurts, 'til this day I think some one is gonna call me big girl. I dont feel slim at all and maybe thats not a good thing but it is what it is. As far as people I know and love, they just ask me for exercise advice lol.

    ~Bridgette~, you are doing amazing!!!!! I think you should add circuit training to your work out and bump up your resistance on the machines. Circuit training is the best, difficult but you can do it. Google it and read more info on it.

    Julie you are doing well as well!!!! You are so right, I cant believe im int he 190s and soon hitting the 180s I have not been 180s since I dont know when lol. Maybe high school when I began to pack on the pounds. 180s here we cooooooome!!!!!:thumbdown:

    results not typical

    I hit the gym 6 times a week for about 90 to 120 minutes. I do an hour in the elleptical, 20 minutes on the bike and 30 minute circuit training 3 times a week. During my pregnancy I didnt hit the gym as much and after the miscarriage I also stooped for a few weeks. Now I am back and at full force! I also walk walk everywhere and eat a healthy meal 6 times a day. Hope that helps :thumbdown:

    Alright so in the last 2 weeks I have lost about 6 pounds. I was facing a minor plateau but I broke it by really tracking down my calories and revamping my work outs. I am 2 pounds away from losing 100 pounds!! I cant believe it and my 6 months bandiversary is tomorrow yeii!

    Everyone different I know but...

    I am using my Wii to figure this out. 1 Month = 42 lbs 3 Months = 75 lb 6 Months = so far 97 lbs (will be 6 months on April 8th 2009) 12 Months = hopefully down 130 lbs 18 Months = n/a 24 Months = n/a
