    Friday Weigh-in

    Good morning!!! TGIF! Alright so this week I am down 2 pounds and down 80 pounds since being banded!! woohoo. I am so excited, I am celebrating at the gym :tt2: lol. Good to know I lost some weight, I struggled this week thanks to my TOM. A few more pounds and I am overweight, yeii! Enjoy your weekend

    It takes time. Some weeks I lose 4 pounds, other weeks I lose 1 pound. For instance, this week I have lost 0 pounds but I think is because I am on my menstrual cycle. I decided to bump up my circuit training, besides my time in the gym, I work out to the biggest loser DVDs. Exercising is the worst during the menstrual cycle, ugh, I hate it. :thumbup: I am still stuck at 213, I know a few of those pounds are lean muscles, so thats a good thing.

    I wanted to say thank you for being such an inspiration. I remember months before I officially joined this site, I would read everyone's advice. For some reason, I took your advice and embraced it. You've always expressed the importance of exercising. That has been my greatest tool to losing almost 80 pounds in such a short time. I also dont stress carbs or any specific diet, I just eat healthier and choose my food wisely. Again, thank you so much! Congrats on all your hard work!

    What is the Secret to Success!!

    For me my secrets are not really secrets. 1. Exercise, exercise! I think this is my best tool. 2. Realize the band is a TOOL, not a miracle cure. 3. Using the above two, and realizing I am not on a diet, but a LIFETIME change! A change that will lead to good health! My good health.

    Scales!!!

    Also, try to use your scale once a week. The scale is my evil friend, if I use it everyday and gain or dont lose, I become sadden. Now, I avoid that by using the scale once, maybe twice a week.

    Valentine's Day Weight Loss Challenge/goals

    Alright I wanted to lose 15 pounds, so far down 10, 5 to go! I might change my goal and make it 20 pounds! Lets see what happens in the next two weeks This challange is VERY motivating!

Hi JMS, Thanks so much for the congratulations I wrote this on another thread: I do an hour of cardio, like jogging, walking on the treadmill(at a speed of 3.8 miles an hr or above) or i do 60 minutes on the elleptical machine with an incline of level 7 or above and 100 resistance. Then i lift weights, about 30 to 35 minutes. I drink a lot of Water as well. Let me know if you need anything else. hope you are all doing well :wink2: FYI I go to the gym 5 to 6 days a week. About three times a week I do circuit training in the evening(squats, jumping jacks..etc). I dont have a trainer. I watch youtube videos for fitness tips and subscribed to self and women's fitness magazine. Or I'll ask a sexy guy at the gym for help hehe. I eat 3 meals with Snacks in between :w00t:

    Great job Julie!! I am also at about 2.5 pounds lost this week, I was battling between 116 and 117 but as of today I am 214.7, woohoo. Heading to the gym now and its freezing cold here in NY! gosh!

    dramatic weight loss

    36 pounds in two months is amazing!!!!!! I dont know how it happened for me but on my day of surgery I was 291 and 291 a month before surgery...anywho, 7 days out of surgery I was in the 260s. I have no idea how that happened. Everyone is different, of course! Good luck on your journey.

    My forearms are soooo thin. When I shower, Im like hello whose bones are those!!!??? Also around my hips, I dont remember even having pelvic bones.

    Nfaith: Good luck on your journey! We are all here to encourage each other! Julie: I also have a similar thing. I still think of myself at 291, I cant adjust! Its kinda worrying me because I am becoming way too concious about my weight, more then before. I dont want to develop a eating disorder or anything like that.
