Hang in there band buddy, getting proper restriction really helps a lot. How many cc's do you have now? I got 4 on my first fill and 1 on my second in my 11 cc Realize band. There are days I feel restriction and days I can eat a whole lot of food still; especially if I space it out.

I was 202 on the day of surgery and today I'm 170, so 32 pounds in 11 weeks. (45 pounds in 13 weeks if you count the pre-op diet) I've had 2 fills and now have 5 ccs in my 11 cc band. I feel a little restriction some days and none on other days. It's a wonderful feeling to be shrinking out of my clothes.

I'm in the same boat with you ladies. LBT was the first thing I'd read in the morning and the last thing in the evening. I was taking a break, then I had an appendicitis attack and emergency appendectomy. That was sufficient enough to distract me entirely. I'm having no problems with my band, and life is beginning to feel normal again.

I was thrilled when this news first came out about a month ago, and called the HR contact at my ex-employer. She agrees that this was approved, but has no idea when it may be implemented. There appears to be no "teeth" in this plan - what will make employers comply? I haven't seen a nickel discounted yet. As an HR person can you tell me how to actually get this? Many thanks!!

I've had a real positive experience with BC/BS of Florida. They required lots of documentation and a 6 month diet. I gave them all they asked for and more and had no problems with approval or payment. Good luck!

I was laid off from my job when I was 3 months into my 6 month medically supervised diet. My only choice was to continue paying the full insurance premium myself ($885.00) which I have done. COBRA is very expensive! I hope Obama's decision changes things soon. At any rate, there were no glitches in my insurance plan and things went smoothly.

Hi team. I'm 10 days out and saw my surgeon today because I'm still leaking from my port incision. He says it doesn't look infected, and it's probably from the blood thinners I'm on for heart issues. However, I told him I was starting to feel hungry, and he gave me permission to carefully start mushies. YAY! I had some soft scrambled eggs and a little bit of mashed potatoes - so yummy.

I had a hiatal hernia repair too. My main pain is in the port area. After feeling weak and woozy everyday, I started sipping small amounts of a protein shake and it has really helped with that. I confessed this to my doctor's office and they were ok with it, maybe because I'm diabetic. My stomach is also giving me confusing signals - gas? hunger? surgical pain? Just don't know for sure.

I sure agree with you. I'm not really sure what's going on in my digestive system. I was banded 3-9. I think I'm hungry until I get some soup in front of me then don't have a taste for it. I have a general achiness across my belly often. Sometimes I think it's gas, other times I'm not sure. At least you're not alone.
