Trying decide if I should stay in or leave my marriage!!!
Mariasha replied to purple3797's topic in The Gals' Room
Thanks for the reply. A couple more questions. You wrote that you tried marriage counseling but stopped after a couple of times. Why did you stop going? Why was it not working? Does your husband have any emotional issues not related to your marriage? The mood swings you write of, are these just in the way he treats you or reflective of his life in general. Finally, does your husband agree that your marriage has issues the two of you need to work out, or is he in total denial about all this? -
Band Tighter in Morning?
Mariasha replied to friendster's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
It has to do with the Water content in your body which can fluctuate throughout the day. This is the same reason that sine women report that their band feels tighter during their period. -

Is he still physically abusive now? What's his relationship with the kids like? Do you still love him? What is he like the rest of the time? -
Yes, it's normal to be sore. Yes it will get better, but you will still feel some soreness. That's how you know you're actually doing something. Yes you will increase the weights once you can comfortably lift what you are lifting now. The point is to keep on pushing yourself. In addition to alternating weight and cardio you should be working out different muscles and body parts each day. Say upper body Monday and Thursday and then lower body on Wednesday and Friday. That way you give the muscles more of a chance to recover. Hope this answers some of your questions.

It's not uncommon. Now hopefully your surgeon knows where it is which should make it easier for him to find next time.

If you are on percocet for post-surgical pain

That stuff was awesome. I miss it. -
I guess as a military person his leaks must be especially disturbing to you. Like the one a couple of months back of the soldiers in the helicopter opening fire on innocent civilians and reporters and then laughing as they dropped dead. You know, that sounds eerily similar to your earlier comments (which you now deleted) about the enjoyment you would get by watching Julian die and how you would want to be a part of making that happen. I refuse to argue with someone like you. This conversation is over.

If the USA manages to find out who leaked this information, they will most definitely press charges against them. But Julian, who is not a US citizen, and not living in the USA, I don't see how they can legally do anything to him.
-
Wikileaks doesn't decide what information to leak. Anything which is brought to them they will leak. They merely facilitate getting that information into the public arena for the world to decide. If you felt that whatever company you work for was involved in some kind of fraud or doing things you believes to be ethically wrong, wouldn't you want an avenue to share that information. Wikileaks is important for freedom of information simply because they are ready to take the risks that nobody else will. And besides, the US knew this information was coming and had the opportunity to go through the information and redact any information that would put individuals in danger. They chose not to. You wont see that story on fox CNN, or NBC. You can find it here. http://www.indexoncensorship.org/2010/11/wikileaks-and-state-department-correspondence/

Punishment?? We all have a debt of gratitude to pay to Julian and the rest of the wikilleaks team.

$15,000 including the first year of follow up care
-
Three adjustments in two years sounds like very little. I'm in my first year and am getting them once a month. Have you discussed this with your surgeon? Are you counting your calorie intake? Do you exercise regularly??
-
Yep. Before his name was Axel it was Mitch12345 Same troll.
-
True, but whenever someone here posts a question about going to Mexico they are almost always warned to make sure they have proper follow up care lined up before they do. The OP is trying is trying to prove that the band is a dangerous and deadly procedure. I am making the point that if you do it right and follow the rules then you will see great results as thousands here on the forums have.
-
You are right. It does explain it at the end of that 25 page FDA document and I will do so here for those who will only read your post and not the article. It says that in 2000 the FDA did not approve the device as the study they were using to judge it effectiveness only had two years of data and they felt it should have at least three years. Therefore the next year when they did have three years of data, they analyzed it and decided to aprove the band. In the past I have reported you as a troll to the admins and you were banned and all your posts deleted. But I'm finding it much more fun to go through your posts one by one and prove that there is no validity to them!

Article ref 6 makes note of the need for post op care from your surgeon. Anyone on this site will tell you that and if your surgeon is not providing adequate post op care you need to find a new one.
-
Article ref 4 is a clinical study in Finland carried out from 1993 till 1999. The band and the procedure have both been improved since then and the rates are much lower now. Please get current data.
-
Article ref 12 is mainly about gastric bypass not the band. Read it and you will see.

Oh hi! You're the dude who knows someone who unfortunately died from the lapband, and has already been banned from this site twice for spreading misinformation and lies about the band in general, and specifically about the Fieldings. I've missed you! Let's see how long your smear campaign will last this time.

Swimming is another great exercise that doesn't put any pressure on your joints.

Someone posted here recently about getting the band through his hospitals charity program. Not sure if anyone in your area offers that but it is definitely worth looking in to. -
