    First check up since surgery

Hey Season, sounds like you have a pretty good handle on the situation!! I was wondering . . . did you have an incision to have your band put in or was it done laproscopic? I was wondering because I read in your other writings that you had pain meds. Was the pain bad? I am scheduled to have surgery in the first part of Dec and I was just wondering what to expect...thanks for the help...

    New to This "Blogging" thing...

Hello all. I am scheduled to have my surgery on 12/9. Dr. Patching is my doctor. He has been really great so far and I don't expect it to change. I am nervous about the pre op diet. What do you eat to have 1000 cal a day? Any suggestions? Is there anyone in Sacramento out there? Let me know how you are doing...

    Which Band to Choose

My surgery is scheduled for 12/9. Haven't been given any pre-op instructions yet. Should happen in a couple of days or so. I am wondering about a pre-op diet. Will any one give me the info they were given by their docs? Just want to be prepared to be successful. Thanks. Pam

    I feel so awful....

This is Pam92. I am sure you are right and all the stuff we are going through now will be worth it, but it is nice to hear it from someone else that has had issues!
  11. I certainly understand your stress. I am having trouble tracking my food and calories. I don't know why, but I am. Any suggestions on how to get with the program and do this? Went to my doctor a few weeks ago and didn't complete the form correctly. I had the food but not the calories. Any suggestions on where to get them? I still have no surgery date also. They certainly keep you jumping through hoops to get this done, but I guess it is necessary to be sure the person is willing to do what it takes to get the job done. Keep in touch..have you gotten your surgery date as of today - 10/29?? Best of luck.
  12. I have lots of questions. I am still looking into banding vs. gastric bypass. Have the readers of this had the lap band? How has it helped you in your medical issues, i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure and the like? How fast have you lost weight? Have you had any problems with the procedure? I appreciate anyone and everyone who will help me with these questions. Pam92:scared2:
  13. Hi wvgall33: I am Pam92. I am just getting into banding. Haven't had surgery and still waiting for my 1st month appointment. How about you?
