I have been banded since May 1st 09.... I still want to lose but due to some complications if I dont have kids soon its pretty much not gonna happen....Does anyone know if its safe to go ahead and start trying? I wanna ask my doc but I figure he will say wait 6 months or a year... I want to start NOW!!! Does anyone know if the port will flip or anything....I know i can get the nutrition!!! I just dont want port complications!! I would love some advice....:confused:

Sorry it took a bit....buy my May 1st banding went well. I had some pain but my problems werent until the next day when I started dry heaving and vomiting. My Md told me to come in, I went in they took 2.5cc out of my band and kept me in the hospital for 2 days!! I am back to work now a week later on restriction. I have lost about 10 llbs as of the am. The dry heaving and such has made me pretty sore... I hope nobody has to experience that !!! I now am still on liquids....go back to md on wednesday!! any questions just ask???:glare:

Soooo....im scheduled to have my banding tomorrow......im am literaly so nervous.... first because im scared something will happen and i cant have it done. It was already rescheduled once b/c of the MDs schedule he couldnt do it. Well now I have done my 10 day liquid diet and today my bowel prep( omg...horrible). My surgery is Outpatient and im just really worried....not about the surgery but that something will happen or go wrong...Btw bowel prep sucks... i had to drink 32 oz gatorade with miralax in it...Made me gag with every drink!!! Is anyone else getting banded tomorrow? If so let me know how you do?

Hey well im scheduled to be banded tomorrow too.... well i slipped up twice cause im on all liquids no sugar diet. well i didnt officially find out that i had to actually do the pre-op diet. So i never really got my "last meal". So the day i was suppose to start it i was bad and ate pizza. But since ive been good...but i was going to drink the chicken broth off of chicken noodle soup and well saw there was no sugar in it and didnt think and ate the noodles...oops!!! I hope and pray everything is ok tomorrow ....good luck

like the others said...stay on them about it...Ive had a few upsets but my date is scheduled for tomorrow....talk to different people at the office some actually do care...you just gotta find them

Have you checked everywhere for the records? Even ER visits? or like weight doctor...if you are over 100 lbs overweight you should qualify...whats your BMI is it over 40? thats what alot require... and you might need comorbidities- ex reflux, PCOS, diabetes, something like that

I just recieved my surgery date April 24. Im gettin a little nervous that I dont know enough or something. And well time is just creeping by like the day will never come. Mine is scheduled at an outpatient clinic. Anyone have any tips?? I will appreciate anything!!!
