I just realized its day 26 since my surgery. I started graduating to eating honey turkey chopped so its in small pieces and its going down well. I hope i continue to lose. My restriction is still very strong
-
Yeah… the restriction is real lol. Im like wow…. What is the point…. I cant eat. Only liquids really pass through without an issue.
-
The restriction really really sucks!!! And if i over do it by alil, i’ll feel so full and sick.

MY FIRST TIME PUKING😿
Dchonlee replied to Dchonlee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree. It didnt hurt as much as i thought it did. -
I literally loathe throwing up, but especially after having 80% of my stomach taken away. I’ve been trying my best to not puke because I didn’t want to go through the cramps and the pain. But surprisingly, throwing up was an extreme relief. I tried to take the vitamin prescribed by my doctor to just get some energy back but I had applesauce before hand and nothing else and I think the vitamin is a little bit potent. Less than five minutes later I threw up violently. How was your first time puking after the surgery? Why do i feel so much better after throwing up?😂😂😂😂😂

I have my first menstrual cycle after my surgery. Guys, I almost fainted. Between the heat, the cramps, feeling drained -it was bad. And to top it off the hormonal changes from the surgery and the menstrual emotional & mental symptoms? Shewwwwwww lol this is a doozy!

Just really need some encouragement if anyone will

So I’m two weeks postop and I know that’s early but I went from 217 to currently being 189. I know everyone’s like you have to give it time “Be patient” but emotionally., i wish that results were more rapid. I’ve been at 189 for three days and I barely eat anything. I enjoyed tomato soup recently, but the creaminess of it, kind of upset my stomach so it just feels like protein shakes are the only thing that will help and sustain me. I guess I’m writing for some support and encouragement that in time I’ll see more changes. The 28 pound difference did make me happy and I want to continue to see changes, but I guess I’m just not being patient enough. Please share some support😔 here. -

Thank you everyone. Im going to trust the process and lay off the scale lol because im torturing myself. Ive been seeing the “stall” and i didnt think i’d reach it so early but here we are. Our bodies are going through so many changes that hormonally im more emotional lol. But this feed back encouraged me -

Im so late responding but thank you so much for this feedback! I pray your journey is going well -
This makes so much sense and lol i love the toddler analogy. It feels just like that. But this encouraged me. Thank you

Thank you! I’ll for sure go back to just protein shakes

So i had egg salad and tuna salad this week. Its so annoying how my stomach reacts. Im not sure if its the mayo but i wish i could eat more before my stomach starts to cramp up. I’m 9 fays post op. Any suggestions?

Hey guys, I’ve been searching for a community that I can express my concerns & overall thoughts to about my journey. I’m 29 years old and decided for my overall wellbeing & happiness to get the gastric sleeve. The process was pretty smooth. I inquired in November & got my date in May & now as of today I am 5 days post op with my first post op appointment tomorrow. I started out 217 but as you know the liquid diet sheds off alot. On the day of surgery I was 199. Today I’m 195. I’m hoping that with this forum i’m able to navigate this new season. I refused to eat or consume anything at first because I loathe throwing up (let alone what it would feel like to throw up with 20% of your stomach🥴😂). But today I finally had creamy ginnoch soup after slowly just sipping protein smoothies. i felt like… a uncomfortable pressure after maybe 10 sips. (It taste so good). So I immediately stopped and it has now subsided. that’s all for now! If you got this far, thanks for reading😊
