    Any June 2008 Bandsters?

Wow that might be worth trying with diet soft drink for me... I dont want it dead flat but just a little less fizzy. Sometimes on a hot day I just feel like a cold diet pepsi and when the mood hits me it takes too long to leave it out on the bench to go flat. Thanks for that tip, Im going to try it.

    Any June 2008 Bandsters?

Hey Katydid, thanks for asking about my fill. I got my fill and asked if he could check that there were no leaks so he pulled it all out and showed me that it was all there then injected it plus the extra back in. I feel less hungry now but can still eat everything with no issue. I have to admit though I am eating less at meal times because I am scared to push the limits, I can feel that it has tightened a little and dont want any pain. I didnt lose any weight according to his scales over the last 6 weeks but my clothes are considerably looser. I can pull my jeans up and down with out undoing them now where they were tight and cutting into my belly 6 weeks ago...so something has happened. Its a very confusing and interesting journey we have undertaken.. fingers crossed its a good one too.

    Any June 2008 Bandsters?

Thankyou so much for the advice, I see my doc today for more fill so I am going to ask him to check for a leak... I am probably just paranoid though and want everything to go tooooo fast:wink: Wade I would have to say that this is the single best thing I have ever done for myself and I also was done in June...but on the 10th and have gone from a size 26 to a size 16. I lost 20 kilos on the Optifast and have lost 12 since banding and feel amazing. As far as food choice are concerned I can eat everything, I have no foods or drinks that are barred from me by my band. And hopefully I can keep it that way but just reduce my hunger like other people banded have done. From what I understand its all in the tweeking of the band to find the sweet spot that works for you...some like to run a tight band where nothing goes down and others like it loose so they are just slightly portioned controlled and can eat larger amounts if they go out or Celebrate. Me I want somewhere in the middle and if that means half a mil in and a quarter out when I get to the point of 'tweek' then thats what will happen. I am a red meat person and I have said from the start that I cant live with out it and my doc says I dont have to and is willing to work with my fills to keep it. You will be fine, this part of the process where you are second guessing your decision is normal and we all did it... it is healthy and it is the mark of an intelligent person. Good luck..but know that if you choose to be banded you wont be sorry:wink_smile:

    Any June 2008 Bandsters?

Hi, I was banded on the 10th of June 08. Its been a struggle and I have very little restriction. I have managed (through sheer will and determination0 to squeeze off 12 kilos since banding which I find quite pitiful. And it has been really hard work on my behalf. I have had 2 fills and now have 2ml in an 8ml inamed band. Does it ever really get better, because I am starting to lose hope. Every loss I have had has been through cutting back and starving hunger pains. I too have aged parents and it is hard sometimes emotionally and physically especially when you are giving up your life and future to care for them... I love my parents but sometimes I miss being able to do what others are doing at my age, it can be hard and lonely.
