Every time I eat, I get this gurgling sound. It happens while I am eating and after. It sounds pretty strange. Was wondering if anyone else has this problem.
-
Nice to know I am not the only gurgler out there..lol I am just starting to date again, guess we won't be going out to dinner..lol

Dr. Adam Smith - Has anyone used Dr. Adam Smith?
Fluffynotstuffy replied to heflinl's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Dr Smith performed my surgery in Oct-08, he did a wonderful job. The office ladies are very nice as well, I am happy with everything. -
1. Is it ok to take Fiber pills? 2. What is the best type of cooking oil is best? Ok that is all, you can now return to your regular, scheduled life. Thanks

I do walk away the pounds, started doing 2 miles, now a month later I can do 5 miles.

Only 14 more lbs to go, then my doctor will place me on the transplant list. The weight I lose after that is a bonus, I never thought I would get to this point. The more I lose the better it will be for the surgery, I need to be as strong as I can. I feel so blessed, and scared and happy, and every other emotion. Thanks for reading this, good luck on your adventure....

Thank-you, I didn't know about my fatty liver. The only reason I found out about the cirrhosis is because I also have kidney disease, had to have a CT scan and they found the lesions on my liver. I wish I found out sooner, I may have been able to prevent it. God works in mysterious ways, I am happy that it was found, now we can fix it.

Thats ok I don't mind, I have to have a liver transplant. I have cirrhosis caused from a fatty liver.

I got my 3rd fill yesterday, tried to eat a dill pickle and it is stuck. It sucks, I love pickles, it is one of the guilty free foods that I love. Can not eat popcorn, or anything sweet makes me sick to my stomach. Perhaps I will go chew on a bone and see if that gets stuck LOL

restaurant card

I usually just order a adult meal, and give 3/4 of it to my 11 year old son. We like the same things so it works out well.. -
Excercise for Person Over 250 lbs ??
Fluffynotstuffy replied to jetsy62's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I am now 266, started at 304. I have been using a recumbent exercise bike, for the last 2 months. I started out only able to do 15 mins, now I can do 50 mins, using the uphill button. I have severe arthritis in both my hips and knees, and it is the easiest thing I found to use. Just start off slow, you can do it, just don't give up. -
I am 47 from Texas, Dr Adam Smith did my surgery. I was banded 10-02-08, I started at 304 lbs, I have lost 33lbs so far. I have been thin most of my life, until 5 years ago, 4 years ago the wieght started piling on. About a year ago I was diagnosed with cirrohsis of the liver, the doctors assume it is from a fatty liver. They also found a tumor in my liver, they are not sure if it is cancer, they will not be sure until it grows big enough to biopsy. I also have igN, which is a form of kidney disease, which is in the early stages. I was banded because of the liver disease, my doctor will not put me on the list until I get to 240 lbs, I had tried on my own to lose the wieght, I would gain and lose etc. This was the last resort, I hated the idea of putting my body through more tests and stress. I did what had to, to survive, it has been hard dealing with everything. I am happy now that I had the lapband, it is working and helping me reach my goal. If I did not have the medical problems, I would not have had the lapband. I can not say I was completly happy with my size. I dealt with it, I excepted myself for who and what I was. I am lucky I guess, my husband loves me for me, and never once complained about my size. If you are deciding whether or not to have surgery, just make sure your doing this for you, not to make someone else happy. Well if you have read this far, I thank-you, I wish you all the best, and hope you reach your goals... Fluffy(btw, the name fluffynotstuffy is what my hubby calls me)

Resuming pain medicine
Fluffynotstuffy replied to kutach's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on 10-02-08, I am on hydrocodone on a regular bases as well. 2 weeks before and for 2 weeks after surgery my doctor prescribed liquid hydrocodone. I found it not as effective, however it did help. The 2 weeks after I was able to go back to the pill, I just cut it in half and it helps it go down. -

vomiting after laying in bed?
Fluffynotstuffy posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 3 days post-op, when I sleep in my bed I get sick to my stomach when I wake up. Is this normal? When I sleep in the recliner I feel ok just a little nauseous. Will I ever be able to sleep in my bed again? I miss my soft bed. :crying:
