Hi Dr. Schulman,
I'm scheduled to have surgery in about two weeks. I hoping to lose over 100 pounds, but I'm worried about having loose skin afterwards. I'm not opposed to the idea of plastic surgery, but I'd like to avoid the pain, inconvenience and cost if possible. I've heard that there are a number of things I could do to improve my skin's elasticity as I'm losing, including:
-Using Vitamin E oil
-Using cocoa butter
-Taking silica supplements (through bamboo extract?)
-Building lean muscle
-Getting massages
To your knowledge, are any of these effective? I'm not looking for a miracle, but it would be great if I could at least minimize the surgery that I'll need.
Thanks so much!
