Wow! This is exactly what I have been looking for. I'm so tired of talking to women about the band, I have been looking for a group of men to share stuff with. I'm new here just got my band on Aug 12, 2008 and have lost 44lbs. I get my first fill tomorrow and was wondering how it effected you all eating red meat? Have any of you tried eating deer meat? Hey guys I'm glad I found ya'll, I'm in San Antonio also. I had the band put on 12 Aug 08, and I'm feeling great!! I had it done at Wilford Hall Medical Center and have had two fills and lost about 63lbs so far. It's good to hear from folks from the same city.

Just had my first fill and was told to be on a liquid diet for the next 72hrs. Is this what you all where told also? I was not expecting this but if it is what I have to do I guess I'll do it. I'm so sick of liquids :girl_hug:

Hello all I just got my band on 12 Aug 08 and have lost 42 pounds so far. I get my first fill tomorrow and I'm a little nervous. I noticed that there are not a lot of guys on here that have had it. If any are out there let me know. Looking forward to talking to all yall on here.

I'm starting to think my Dr is very cautious, which I guess isn't a bad thing.

I just had my first fill today so I'm looking forward to making a dent in the Deer Meat that I still have. Any of you tried Duck or Dove?

Good I still have a lot left over from last year and was hoping I would still be able to eat it.
