I'm in Monroe~ Where did you all get your bands?
  2. Can I get mine updated to 209. Thanks, Julie
  3. Pleas update my weight- I'm 215... Thanks, Julie
  4. Is your doctor doing this all free of charge? I'd hate to have to go through all of this and have to pay. Hope you feel better soon.
  5. My updated weight is 216 Thanks Julie
  6. Congrats Kerri... I'm almost with you. I have 20.6 pounds to be in Onederland... I can't wait... Wish I was a 14/16... I'm in some 18's but still a few 20's.
  7. I was feeling that, but have just added walking into my day. I started out small- 10-20 minutes per day. Now I'm up to 5 plus miles most days and I feel great. It took a while but I have lots of energy now. Sometimes 1000 cals is too low for some people. I know some days I dip below 1000 and feel a bit slugish.
  8. Keep up the great work. It's hard at times but so worth it when everything falls into place.

    Help!!! I need some advice

They can also give you something via mouth or IV for panic attacks. I heard a gal on the other side of me getting a bit worked up. They gave her something and she was out like a light. I remember walking back to the surgery room- getting on the table- they were putting something on my legs and Dr. Feelgood came in. I took one look at him while he played with my IV and woke up to a nurse sitting next to me. About 1/2 after that my husband came in with my kids. I drank some Water. And I was on my way home. I think it was about 4 hours all in all.

    Help!!! I need some advice

It's all about you. I personally thought this was going to be a quick fix. I've had to work my butt off to make it work and get to correct fills until it finally has become a great tool. It was slow at first, I wondered why I did it~ but I would do it again in a heart beat. I have met a great gal on this website who had the same doctor as me. We now are walking buddies and lean on each other when one needs help. It's been great since.

Great Job Tim... I know alot of us thought the band was a quick easy fix... But with good judgement we can all do it. Congrats on those that have lost 100 pounds or are under the 200 mark. I hope to be there soon with you.
  15. My band is a 10cc band. 3cc's was put in during surgery. 1st fill I got was 2cc 6 weeks after surgery. Since then I have had about 5-6 fills/unfills. As of today I have 6.75cc's in my band and I'm at a great spot. Hopefully it will last a while like this.
  16. Please update my weight. 223.4 Thanks- Julie
  17. I had a fill yesterday. I'm at 6.75. I feel a little snug- but I just need to remember to chew chew chew.
  18. JMS~ Have a great trip. I'm in the same boat. No loss but no gain either this week.
  19. Please add me to the November spreadsheet. Surgery date 11/26/08 Highest 273 Preop starting 250 Surgery 238 Current 224 Goal 150
  20. I seem to be fine no matter what time a day. I am a little bit tigher in the am. I get up at 5am- normally I have water to take my pills. Most days they go down fine- others I can feel them in there and water starts to gurgle until they go down. I wish I had band tightness at night!!! Hubby likes late night snacks and it's killing me.

Mother in law had her band done in Mexico. She is back there again today for the 3rd time. Her 1st band was placed 7/08. She had her port replaced last month. Today she is there getting a fill because the people here messed up the port and tubing that had to be replaced. Good and bad doctors out there no matter where you go. I'd prefer to stay in the states. I heard most doctors won't touch you until 2 years out from reaching your goal... You spend the money now and will have to do it again in another year or so.
  22. Check out Ebay. Look a few up and see what they are going for. They pay for shipping. It's a win win for the seller. And they aren't paying hundreds of dollars either.
  23. Yes, I was going to try there and maybe even Value Village. Why not!! All my 26/28 & 22/24 clothes sold on Ebay this past week. I couldn't believe it. Now I'm having the kids spring clean and going through DH's stuff. Little extra cash doesn't hurt since I'm still not working.
  24. Great Job EbonyRose~ I love the NSV. Haven't been wanting to spend alot on new clothes just yet. My girls and I have been going to Walmart and finding really cute tops between $9-$12.00. Their clothes always seemed to run small for me. At one time I was buying the 4x-5x just in case it shrank. Last night I was buying 2x-18/20. And I think I still had a little extra room. I too want to look good in a swim suit this summer. I need to order one now but I'm not sure what size. Part of me wants to play it safe and get an 18. The other part of me says 20 more pounds and I will be in a 16. Maybe the 16 will make me work harder for it.
