It takes time. How long did it take the weight to come on? 4 years to leave may not be so. I know the puking does not sound like fun, trust me I've been. I just look for things I can eat and try not to turn to the fatty cheese and brownies. that's how we all get to where we are. Hopefully there is another doctor in your area that can you help you through this. they should have nutrionist on staff offering you help.
I ended up taking liquid tylenol and walking for my pain. It will get better. Mine was the worst about 4 days in and then slowly went away. For the large incision your port is in that area so it will take longer to heal. At least that is what i was told.
you know my first week week i wasn't hungry at all but about the middle of the 2nd week it started creeping in. You are not alone in this. I'm ready for my fill now!!! I think i still have a few though. All diets are different though. I'm eating solids now. I've just been making myself drink more H2O in between meals and that is helping alot. Keep your head up. I think you'll be fine.
the healthy weightloss with the band is 1-2 lbs a weeks. sounds like your right on track. don't get so down on yourself. Your already off to a great start!!!:tongue2:
My name is Sara and I had my surgery exactly 1 week ago today. Was a breeze but the air in my body needs to leave. my left shoulder has been killing me. I lost about 25lbs pre-op following the programs guidelines and am looking forward to my weigh in on Thursday. My surgeon was Dr. Sloan in Fort Wayne IN. They have a great program. I had to attend meetings 4 weeks before and now 6 weeks afters. It's great to have the support.
No sure how this website works. would love to add a weight tracker but not sure how. ANy suggestions. Looking at other peoples motivates me. Hope i can do the same for others.
Had my first weigh in today. I was down 7 1/2 from two weeks ago. Pretty excited with that. Not looking forward to the 1 - 2 lbs a week. But i Guess Slow and steady when the race.
Stomach still tender too. I had to do optifast three 1/2 weeks before. I'm ready for real food next week. Let's keep in touch so we can help each other!!!

Good luck at you weigh in. Amazaed you can have crackers. I was told no carbs until 6 months post op. But i know all programs are different. I weigh for the first time Thursday at group. My surgery was on the 15th. I'm pretty excited. Haven't been weighing. Waiting for the surprise.
Sounds like your doing great. Don't beat yourself up. How long ago was your procedue? Maybe talk to the people where you had it for suggestions. Sounds like it might be the muscle your adding. Keep up the good work.
It's going well. I started walking the day after surgery. 20 minutes three times a day. Except for the day my sister in law said a walkinging trail was about 1 mile. It was actually a little over 2. I've decided to make Monday's my day off. Looking into buying a bike since it's so dark in the mornings before work.
I just had my surgery a week ago. Reading your story is like looking back at my life. Way to go. Hopefully next year I will be as successful as you...any tips?
I had my surgery 1 week ago today. It was fine. The only pain i really had was from the air they pump into you. Other than that I have had no trouble. I did the liquid for 3 1/2 weeks before surgery. You get use to it. Infact, I'm still drinking the shakes now and although not the most tastefull thing it fills me up nicely. you'll do great!!!
