Just my two cents worth but I was banded on 9-10-08 and it was done my Dr. Moran. Yeah, he's not full of warm fuzzies but then I'm looking for a surgeon not a new best friend. I've not seen him that much but what I have seen of him I like. He's very professional and very good at what he does. When I went in for my one week check up I saw his PA and I totally adore her!! The office staff is very friendly and helpful. When I decided to have this surgery my PCP recomended Dr. Moran and Dr. Enochs. I want with Dr. Moran because an aquaintance had had her band done by him and she liked him. If I were you I'd go to one of his informational seminars and see what you think. His PA and I were talking about surgery and some of the differences between Rny and Lap band and she mentioned that most of his practice is now lap band. I'm not sure about Dr. Enochs. My advice is to go with who you feel most comfortable with and you'll be most satisfied.

Wow! I just joined like 5 minutes ago and this was the first thing that caught my attention. When I decided to have WLS my PCP gave me 2 names - Dr. Enoch and Dr. Moran. I went with Dr. Moran. The only reason I chose him was an aquaintance had used him and liked him a lot. I was banded on 9-10 and have no complaints. Everyone in his office is very nice and I adore his PA. She is the nicest thing. At the risk of being accused of working for Dr. Moran I know there is a meeting on the last Thursday night of each month in his building (room 110). It's a support group. I will be attending for the first time this Thurs. To the best of my knowledge both Dr. Moran and Dr. Enochs have very good reputations. A tiny plug for Dr. Moran though. His PA mentioned that the majority of his practice has become lap band. Who ever you choose just make sure you're comfortable with him and good luck!
